The editors liked

  • Netgear's $400 Arlo Go camera works over LTE
  • Rather than Wi-Fi
  • So you don't have to worry about a spotty wireless connection. It comes with 7 days of free video clip cloud storage. The rechargeable battery lasts for weeks
  • Portable
  • Well built
  • Free cloud storage
  • Works practically anywhere
  • Excellent control over when the camera can record
  • Upgrade option to cloud activity zones

The editors didn't like

  • The motion sensor is adjustable
  • But overly sensitive -- and Netgear's cellular provider plan is based on the number of alerts you receive. I easily burned through dozens of notifications in an hour or two (and so will you). The base always feels like it'
  • Expensive – with ongoing costs
  • Relies on good signal coverage
  • Design is vulnerable to theft
  • Expensive
  • No Wi-Fi

  • Indoor/outdoor, Mobile broadband access, Optional solar panel
  • Expensive, plus ongoing mobile data costs, Lacks intelligent alerts
  • While it's pricey, Netgear's Arlo Go is a great way to keep an eye on locations which are off the grid...

  • The Arlo Go is a solid camera, but Netgear's pay-by-alert pricing plan is a bad deal, so I'd opt for an AT&T or Verizon plan instead...

  • Indoor/outdoor, Mobile broadband access, Optional solar panel
  • Expensive, plus ongoing mobile data costs, Lacks intelligent alerts
  • The Arlo Go is a great way to keep an eye on things when AC power and Wi-Fi are out of reach – perhaps monitoring a shed, holiday house or building site. In return it's more expensive than the rest of the Arlo range, so if Wi-Fi is at hand then you should...

  • Esteticamente piacevole, Ben Costruita, Materiali solidi, Totalmente senza fili, impermeabile, Funzionamento eccellente, Funziona senza WiFi, Posizionabile ovunque

  • Arlo Go è consigliata proprio in questi contesti.
