  • The GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition produces some of the best -- if not the best -- video we've seen from an action cam. Its abundant resolution and frame rate options will satisfy beginners and experienced shooters
  • Navigating the on-camera settings menus still isn't the best experience. Battery life can be brief depending on the features you're using. Plan to buy accessories including a microSD card
  • Like the Hero3, the GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition's strongest attributes are its excellent video quality and impressive list of shooting options. If that's what matters most to you, this is the action cam to get.

  • A solid upgrade The Hero3+ Black Edition builds on the strengths of its predecessors. If you're still holding onto a Hero2-generation device, the Hero3+ is a substantial step up. It has the smaller, lighter chassis of the Hero3 Black Edition with ...

  • Abstract:  You can't just do something dangerous and insane these days without filming it for posterity. And while action cameras let us relieve these life-highlights over and over, they aren't all created equal. We decided to see for ourselves which one could handl...

  • Abstract:  This has to be one of my all time favourite action cameras. The WIFI connection paired to the GoPro App provided a live view of what the camera sees. The GoPro App also provides full control over all the camera settings which made it much easier to access...

  • Excellent build quality, High quality footage, Improved lens quality, Faster WiFi
  • No built in preview screen, Case can be fiddly to use, Menu takes time to navigate
  • The GoPro Hero 3+ is by no means the leap that we saw from the GoPro 2 to the GoPro Hero3. While users of the GoPro 1 and 2 will see a massive improvement in usability, there are only a few small adjustments to the actual camera from the Hero3 Black Edit...

  • Smaller waterproof casing, with buttons that are easier to press. More mounting options than ever. Improved auto white balance, with the option to adjust it yourself. Fast Wi-Fi. Improved sound recording
  • 4K recording is only at 15p. Waterproof casing latch can be hard to open
  • Though the updates might seem minor on paper, the GoPro Hero3+ is most definitely more than the sum of its parts, proving that it's still the king of action cameras....

  • Abstract:  With its ability to shoot 4K video and 12MP photos, it's by far the highest-resolution action cam on the market. Yet, despite those capabilities, the HERO3 is still very small and light when extracted from its protective case.In the package is a Wi-Fi rem...
