  • Abstract:  Canons PowerShot S80 is designed for people who want a high-performance camera thats not too big or awkwardly shaped for pockets and handbags. The lens has an unexceptional 3.6x zoom range, which helps keep the dimensions down, but its 28-100mm fo...

  • Abstract:  The Canon Powershot S80 offers great picture quality and an impressive variety of features. With its ultra wide angle lens it is almost a real winner. It has a clear problem with shutter lag though.

  • Abstract:  The Canon Powershot S80 stands out among compact cameras by its complete and advanced feature set, lacking only in the ability to store RAW images. The Canon S80 has many external controls which help users avoid the slower menu system. Among these is ...

  • Easy to use. Large and good-looking LCD. Good color accuracy.
  • Noisy images.
  • For everyday point-and-shoot moments, the PowerShot S80 is a capable camera. But temper your expectations when it comes to image quality from an eight-megapixel point-and-shoot camera. ...

  • Abstract:  This is a small camera but not as light as you may think, it definitely has a solid feel and when you look at the specifications you know why.

  • Captures accurate colors Very responsive Good wide angle option Acceptable noise until 200 and above
  • Battery life could be better Same with the refresh rate on the LCD screen No RAW mode Expensive
  • I liked this camera. Although a bit bulkier than many point-and-shoot digicams on the market, it’s small enough to fit into a jacket pocket. And at 9.6 ounces, it won’t weigh you down. Photo quality was quite good with very accurate colors, so...

  • Good image quality, Reliable Evaluative metering, Dial functions of the Multi control Dial very practical, 28 to 100 mm equivalent zoom, Available 1024 x 768 pixel movie mode, Wellrounded set of shooting modes, Solid and elegant construction
  • Soft focus images, Multi control Dials functions too complex, No RAW image format, Compression sometimes a bit too strong at the highest image quality, Flash light falloff in the corners of 28mm images, Average LCD monitor resolution
  • The Canon PowerShot S80 is without a doubt the most complex camera of the S-series to date, and in particular, its ergonomic design is the most advanced yet. The S80 improves on the previous capabilities of S-series cameras by offering an 8-megapixel ...
