One of the fastest DSLR cameras you can get
The DS3 is just perfect for capturing quick-moving action shots. It can record at up to 11fps (frames per second) so can easily catch a car whizzing by
Or a dart in mid air. You do lose a little resolution by engaging the fast (continuous) shooting mode but the images are still fantastic
With rich colours and amazing detail.
Excellent image quality
Particularly at very high sensitivities
Great ergonomics
Design and control layout
Menu system
Comprehensive feature set and HD movie capability with external audio

Limited video mode
It's either this or a new car
Although we'd choose this
Yes
The 720p HD video mode is more than just a bonus but it doesn’t compete with the Full HD (1920x1080) available on Canon EOS models like the 5D Mark II and 550D. This is also a serious level of investment so you’ll need to be sure about just how big your love of photography is.
Fastest frame rate only available in DX format mode
Price (the D3s is £800 dearer than the D3 at launch)

Abstract: The D3s is mid-model freshening of the two-year-old . The D3s is the same camera as the D3, with a few new features thrown in to give it a little more catalog life. No big deal, Nikon has been doing this since the 1980s; adding an -s ...

Abstract: In reality however, most photagrapher do not dial in higher ISOs than 3.200, and thats exactly why I think that the D3 and D700 bodies are more than..
I was limited by my personal skills, but the D3s is for sure will give to a real professional or an amateur Impressive results. Now, no pain no gain, the D3s is not what I can call affordable. Sold in Japan at around 460,000 Yen, the D3s is not your a...
Even if a video recording capability doesn't have any appeal, there are still quite a few sound reasons for D3 (or D700) owners to consider upgrading to the D3S, starting with the built-in sensor cleaning, but also the enhancements to a number of the imag...
