  • Nikon's 28mm F1.4E ED appears to roundly complete the company's updated lineup of fast, professional prime lenses. We've already seen some initial images from a Nikon ambassador, but we've worked through a gallery of our own, with a lens of our own over t...

  • Abstract:  There's a new entry-level mirrorless camera in Olympus' Micro Four Thirds lineup, the PEN E-PL8. Compared to its predecessor, the E-PL7, much of the E-PL8's changes are in form rather than function, but that doesn't mean the camera is just a pretty face.....

  • Fun camera to use that produces good images, Fast performing camera versus similarly priced mirrorless models, Good image quality versus other 16MP cameras, JPEG & RAW shooting, Image stabilization system is strong, Easy to use model, Good mix of automati
  • No significant changes from predecessor, No 4K video recording option, Limited touch screen capabilities
  • It's time for you to step up to an interchangeable lens camera, or ILC.Olympus has you covered with its new PEN E-PL8, a compact Micro Four Thirds camera system that will absolutely crush the picture of any cell phone or point-and-shoot. It's perfect for...

  • Aside from its new body design and a few minor tweaks, there's not much difference between the E-PL7 and E-PL8. It's difficult to find local stores stocking the E-PL7, although a few off-shore re-sellers have it listed for between AU$520 and $550. The E-P...

  • The image quality is as we expect from Olympus – good white balance and exposure. The camera is nicely made and feels substantial in the hand. Images up to ISO2500 are useable with noise only obvious at high ISO speeds.
  • The absence of an electronic viewfinder is perplexing at this price
  • The E-PL8 is apparently aimed at the fashion conscious smartphone users who are impressed with the choice of different coloured faux leather skins and straps and who think they might like the better quality to be had from an interchangeable lens camera wi...
