Olympus faces regulatory probes that may not bode well for the company
There’s plenty to like and very little to gripe. The gripe being the exclusion of a HDMI cable in the kit – considering the Full HD video option and the number of large screen TVs rolling out the doors of retailers.Otherwise, the Olympus PEN E-PL3 dig...
There's plenty to like about the E-PL3. Great images and video, much improved AF performance and a tilting LCD all earn high remarks in our full review. However, we stop just short of a full recommendation.
Metal body, fast autofocus, wireless flash ability, good lower ISO image quality
Continuous and Tracking focusing speeds, no builtin flash (included hotshoe mount version instead), 16:9 ratio screen makes for small 4:3 image preview, high ISO image quality
Small and with an elegant metal finish the E-PL3 brings together much of what was lacking from its predecessors. This middle-of-range model is shrewdly positioned yet still offers the same autofocus speed and image quality of its bigger brother E-P3 mo...

Coming at this from an amateur's standpoint, I find the E-PL3 slightly lacking, especially when compared to its slightly larger cousins. However, it was a dream to carry around on vacation and it's surprisingly easy for almost anyone to use, making it a g...

Still on the pricey sideJelly vision videoDifficult to tweak manual settings
Quality-wise, you're getting (largely) the same results as the more expensive E-P3, but in a lighter / cheaper package. The only problem? Sony's NEX-C3....
Tilting 3-inch LCD, Fast autofocus system, In-camera artistic filters, Accessory port for optional EVF,
High noise at ISO 1600 and above, No built-in flash, Menu system is unintuitive and can be slow,
The Olympus PEN E-PL3 delivers impressive performance when it comes to speed, but is held back by noisy images at higher ISO settings and a kit lens that delivers so-so sharpness at longer focal lengths. ...
Abstract: Featuring a new 12.3 Megapixel Live MOS sensor optimised for use with M.ZUIKO lenses, in-body image stabilisation, extremely fast autofocus with 35 focus points and five frames-per-second shooting, the PEN Lite sets a high standard for the CSC categor...
The E-PL3 combines a small physical size with a lots of external control points in a stylish, attractive body. Among the traits it inherits from its predecessor, the E-PL2, are in-camera raw conversion, a nice selection of art filters and of course Ol...
