  • Abstract:  We really like both system cases discussed in this review. Perhaps not ideal, the Cooler Master 690 II Advanced and Zalman MS1000-HS2 are very good products that support a wide range of computer configurations. Each of them allows to customize its ventilation system and can cope with a large number ..

  • Lots of working room, Good tool-free installation options, Plenty of cooling options, External HDD bay, Stylish design with all-black interior, Enough cable management features, No sharp edges inside, Support for 240mm radiator in top and/or bottom, Overall build quality is very good, Stock fans are very quiet, Bottom half of HDD cage can be removed, LED fan light can be turned off
  • The 1200RPM stock cooling may be a bit lacking for more demanding users, You can't use standard 80mm fans in the right side panel and VGA bracket, they have to be slim 15mm models, Side panels require a lot of force to be removed, Not enough dust filters
  • Cooler Master has done a great job at revising the aging CM 690 into an exciting new product. The new case doesn't only look a lot better but also adds great new features like the external HDD docking station and a bracket for installing solid state di...

  • "XData" port on top; CPU cutout, cablerouting holes and tiedowns.
  • No room for 12inch videocards unless you remove the lower four hard drive bays.
