The editors liked
Performance on par with Radeon R9 280. New features including TrueAudio and bridgeless CrossFire. Lower power usage and improved performance-per-watt
Great 1080p and 1440p performance
Three free games
Slightly quicker than GTX 760
Not as many models as GTX 760
The editors didn't like
Lower raw memory bandwidth than Radeon R9 280 that may result in slightly lower performance in some cases. 2 GB of onboard RAM instead of 3 GB. Does not notably increase performance over Radeon R9 280 on average
Can't cope with 4K
Power-hungry

For the same price as the R9 280, the R9 285 brings a slight performance boost along with some extra features such as support for DirectX 12, the Mantle API, TrueAudio and FreeSync.
The R9 285's 256bit memory bus is downgraded from the R9 280's 384bit bus. Although it has a performance edge on the GTX 760, it costs a little more and uses a little more power.

As we come to the end of this review, we would like to discuss some of the virtues and vices when it comes to CrossFire. CrossFire has developed over a long period of time and has become a little more reliable than what it would be. Before it was quite a hit and...
Outstanding 1080p and 1440p performance, affordable price, cool and silent, build quality
High power consumption, only 2GB memory
The mid-range graphics card is a viable choice for gamers who want to play any type of game even at a resolution of 1080p.AMD's graphics card, the Radeon R9 285, uses a brand-new core, the Tonga core. Loaded with the latest advancements in Graphics Core ...
The Radeon R9 285 is a lateral for AMD, and as we've seen in our results this is for a good reason. Despite all of the architectural and feature changes between the R9 285 and its R9 280 predecessor at the end of the day it brings a very minor 3-5% perfor...

Abstract: Uuden konsolisukupolven myötä myös PC-pelien osalta on nähty tämän syksyn aikana selvä siirtymä suorituskykyvaatimuksissa sekä laskentatehon, että vaaditun muistin osalta. Useat pelit ovat ihmetyttäneet suositusvaatimuksillaan, hurjimpana esimerkkinä ehkä Shadow of Mordorin 6...
