The editors liked
Good design
Hits speeds in excess of 400MB/s
Available as a 1TB model
Small and sleek
Three-year warranty as standard
The performance and price stand out
But we also found value in the software package that enables 128-bit encryption
The editors didn't like
USB Type-C
I'm not sold on the advanced software features coming as a paid upgrade. If the software has the capability
Then we feel SanDisk should include it as a value-add to make this series more attractive than the products coming from Samsung
Very durable compared to portable HDDs, Great performance, Sleek design

Lightweight design, Fast performance
None

Swift performance at a reasonable price, Durable-feeling plastic shell, USB 3.0 cable is removable and replaceable
Capacity tops out at 480GB, Textured-plastic top can collect dust and dirt, Newer Extreme 510 model offers better shock- and water-resistance, Competing Samsung T1 costs less

Form Factor, Storage Capacity, Quick uncompressed file transfer
Compressed file transfer speed
Its compact, its light, it has a lot of space and it's easy to carry. It comes with a 3-year warranty.It does have a good performance with compress file types though I wish Kingston HyperX DataTraveller had enough space to do a 98.3GB assorted videos fold...
Reliable performance and convenient form-factor...

Kind of ruggedised; Fairly fast; Neat design; Can be used out of the box with no setup needed;
Not as fast as the competition; No USB Type C cable;
In terms of file transfer speed, SanDisk's first portable solid-state drive certainly offers plenty of that, and its value isn't far off the mark either, but it's not quite as competitive in speed or value from where its major competition is, from Samsung...
