Interesting design bmr_approved.png, Simple effortless and quick setup, Detachable antennae, 2 x USB 2.0 ports for printers and attached storage, Gigabit LAN ports, Great signal strength and range, 533MHZ CPU and 128MB RAM, Lightweight but sturdy construction, Fair price to pay for a feature rich router,
Slightly oversize profile, Does get quite warm to the touch, 2.4 ~ 2.5 Ghz only no 5Ghz band, No dualband support
Where performance is concerned the ASUS RT-N16 has shown that wireless speeds can match wired speeds, albeit not consistently but the wireless speeds achieved are still very good. The fact that it has a 533Mhz CPU and 128mb ram made me giggle a little...
Abstract: Like most of the routers here, the RT-N16 is 2.4GHz only, so it’s left to compete with all the other wireless devices in our environment. With weaker antenna technologies, you see this interference wreak particular havoc over longer connection distances, especially in our location..
Extremely fast at close range, Very good user interface, External storage and printer-sharing capabilities, Supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup,
Slower than competing routers when covering longer distance, No guest network, Two USB ports needed to power external hard drive, Can’t share a multifunction printer’s scanner or fax functions over the network, No UPnP media server,
The Asus RT-N16 has some great features, including one of the best user interfaces we’ve seen in a wireless router....

Gigabit ports, Supports USB storage and printer sharing, Excellent throughput and signal
Terrible visual design, Support documentation is once more MIA, rendering some functions useless
Asus' high-end wireless router has plenty of throughput grunt, but we do wish the company would offer better support documentation. Editors’ rating: 8.8/10
Gigabit LAN ports, 2 USB ports, 3 removable/adjustable antennae, Wide area coverage
No 5 GHz operation
Asus has a winner with this router's sheer range of features, and its very acceptable performance. Wide coverage area, USB ports that can make the device a file/print server, and plenty of memory onboard make the RT-N16 a good choice for an enthusiast...
