The most powerful laptop we have reviewed to date. Nothing comes close
As I mentioned in the conclusion of my review of the Alienware M17x R4, there are no points awarded for repetition. The original M18x was good but not perfect, and simply repeating the design instead of at least iterating it isn't going to somehow result...

Abstract: Buying a laptop is a difficult decision. Most of us have to walk a tight-rope, balancing what we want (power, style, portability and more) with what we can afford. But what if money wasn't an obstacle? What would you buy then? You'd probably consider lapto...
If you’re looking for a proper desktop replacement, replacing a gaming desktop that is, the Alienware M18x is undoubtedly the notebook to pick. It’s massive and has a price tag that’s painful, but its performance is almost unparalleled....

The new Alienware M18x is built around a stunning 18-inch display, with copious configuration options for killer performance, including overclocked CPUs and dual video cards
The M18x starts expensive and goes up from there, and for that kind of money, we expect a better design than the aging Alienware dorm-room chic
Alienware again pushes the boundaries of laptop performance (and price) with high-end parts and a great-for-gaming 18-inch screen.
Abstract: The stunning display uses an LED backlight and provides a lot of screen real estate to play your favourite titles on or watch films. You'll obviously want to use a USB mouse for some games, especially first person shooters like Call of Duty, but the...
Great connectivity, Extensive lighting, Very good input devices, High quality materials, Fantastic performance, Long battery life, Lots of accessories, Nice display
Clearly audible under heavy load, Very high weight, Fat power adapter
Alienware M18xIn the beginning, we were skeptical of the M18x. Alienware's 18 inch "monster" does not exactly fit into any of the current trends, and most buyers do not go above the 17 inch range. However, after our in-depth testing of this laptop, we hav...
