Abstract: The Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch base model is the surest bet for getting an Apple computer without breaking the bank. However, should you feel indulgent, you can upgrade bits and pieces of the Pro until you have the best MacBook Pro, the 15-inch model with...
Super-bright screen, Impeccable build quality, Over 16 hours of battery life as tested, Impressive speakers
Shallow keyboard feel, Minimalist port selection, Base model has just 128GB of storage
If you can live without top models' glitzy Touch Bar, you might get Apple's best laptop bargain, though you'll want to invest in a storage upgrade and USB-C adapters...
Sunny Retina screen, Great battery life, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
Stiff, shallow keyboard, No USB 3.0 or HDMI ports or SD card slot, Touch Bar not worth the surcharge

Solid performance and battery life, Premium build quality, High resolution Retina display,
Limited connectivity, Not everyone likes the Touch Bar in the step up versions

Connectivity limited to two USB-C ports, Small 128GB hard drive
The base model MacBook Pro gets an updated processor and a price drop, making it the best choice for Mac shoppers who want a blend of power and relative affordability...

excellent chassis and build quality, huge trackpad – still best in class, silent without high workloads, very good speakers, very good display with perfect scaling (typical for macOS), very long battery runtime
connectivity issues with 2.4 GHz WLAN and USB-C devices, high-pitched fan noise under load, only 3 ports, very expensive – especially the upgrades, poor webcam
excellent chassis and build quality, huge trackpad with great precision, quiet and good cooling, high WLAN transfer speeds, very good display with perfect scaling, good speakers, good battery runtimes, steady performance, also on battery, 4x Thunderbolt
but reduced bandwidth for the ports on the right side, neither USB-A nor HDMI-out, 2.4 GHz WLAN issues with attached USB-C device, poor webcam, very expensive – especially the upgrades
Abstract: After less than a year on the market, the 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar has been upgraded with Intel's Kaby Lake processor —and a lower price. Are the changes (and downgrade, in one notable case) to get the price down enough to get you to buy...
It's taken a step back with battery life – and you will need to be prepared to pay a premium and live without the without the traditional complement of ports – but the new MacBook Pro 13-inch is still one of the best laptops money can buy. Speed, portabil...
