  • Exceptional Build Quality and Keyboard, 802.11a/g/n Wireless, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth Support, ExpressCard/54 Slot
  • Poor Mouse Button Location, Just Two USB Ports, More Expensive Than Comparable Netbooks
  • Feb 27 2009 - HP is clearly targeting the business traveller with the Mini 2140, but its features and performance make it a good choice for consumers as well. The aluminum clad system is probably the best built and most durable netbooks on the market. ...

  • Abstract:  Chris and I have been having quite a good time tweaking our MSI Wind netbooks. Both of us have run Mac OSX and Chris, who’s been a bit more aggressive in his hacking, now has his device booting with three different operating systems. Why then, you m...

  • Solid metal construction; full ExpressCard/54 slot; big keyboard.
  • Odd resolution loses a few pixels; no mobile-broadband options (yet); awkward mouse button placement.
  • HP offers a premium version of its plastic Mini 1000 while keeping the price down, making the Mini 2140 the Netbook to beat.

  • Excellent build quality (BEST in class), Great keyboard (BEST in class), ExpressCard slot offers fantastic expansion possibilities, Multiple configuration options
  • Base configuration has lowresolution screen, Strange location for touchpad buttons, Screen is too reflective due to second glossy protective layer
  • The HP Mini 2140 proves HP can make a serious netbook for business professionals and students alike. Unfortunately for HP, the amazing design and solid range of features are diminished by a low-resolution screen. That said, there is a silver lining to thi...

  • ExpressCard and SD media reader slots. Amazing battery life. Exceptional design aesthetics. Loaded with features trickling down from higherend laptops.
  • Touchpad too far south; flush design means fingers keep slipping off the bottom. Sidemounted buttons still too awkward for extended use. More expensive than a netbook should be.

  • Edge-to-edge glass screen. Option for highest resolution on a 10-inch widescreen. Big battery option. Very good battery life from the three-cell battery. 92 percent keyboard. ExpressCard slot.
  • Mouse buttons are adjacent to the touchpad.
  • The HP Mini 2140 offers a larger screen and more advanced parts than its HP 2133 Mini-Note predecessor, while keeping the sexy design intact. But its pricier than other netbooks—for now....

  • Abstract:  No sooner does HP announce the Mini 2140 than we get reviews from two lucky outlets who seemed to have fallen in love with the netbook. While it retains the sturdy case, ExpressCard / 54 slot, and not-quite-full-sized keyboard that reviewers loved with it...
