  • Very Durable Aluminum and Magnesium Alloy Case, Extremely Comfortable Keyboard, Excellent Networking Features
  • Slightly Larger Dimensions for 10inch Netbook, Lacks the ExpressCard Slot of Predecessor

  • Attractive, brushed metal aesthetic is welcome change to cluttered look found on many netbooks. Well spaced island keys reminiscent of Apple's sexy new MacBook keyboard
  • Weird, choppy QuickTime performance will make latest Transformers movie look like the first Terminator. Battery life weak compared to Asus

  • Advocates of compact and low-priced netbooks had to wait for a long time for an outdoor suitable device with a good resolution. The HP Mini 5101 is one of the first models that have a WSVGA screen with an HD resolution of 1366x768 pixels in a 10.2 inch fo...

  • Revamped version of one of our favorite Netbooks; excellent keyboard and touch pad; sturdy and durable; includes accelerometer; optional higher-resolution display.
  • Loses its ExpressCard slot; standard Netbook components at a premium price.
  • HPs biz-minded Mini 5101 is a successor to the Mini 2140 (one of our all-time favorite Netbooks). It looks and feels great, but for a premium-price Netbook, we expect to get more features, not fewer.

  • Very attractive metallic chassis. 95-percent keyboard is right up there with those on the top netbooks. Mouse buttons are quiet. Bevy of options, including an "HD" resolution, 3G, SSDs and 7200rpm HDDs. Good performance scores. 802.11n wireless capability...
  • Whirring noises from the fans and speedy hard drive. Options can bring up the cost significantly and arent available for purchase yet.
  • The HP Mini 5101 is much improved version over HPs previous netbooks, but youll have to pay extra for many of its fringe benefits—if they become available....
