Excellent color and black-and-white print quality; print longevity rated at 100 years for color, and over 200 years for black and white; attractive, relatively compact design; very quiet.
Barely any differences between this model and the previous version; Ambient Light Technology is PC only.
Canons PIXMA Pro9500 was a breakthrough 13-inch pigment printer when it was launched back in 2007 with excellent print quality; a pleasing, unobtrusive design; and decent if not totally impressive speed. Two years later, Canon has released a "Mark II...
The Canon Pro 9500 Mark II is a serious printer, in every sense of the word. The pigment inks it uses produce very deep blacks and could manage a greater range of colors than most. But its also a seriously expensive printer, at $849, and most photo...
Abstract: The Canon PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II uses a 10-colour pigment based single ink system, including matte black and photo black. This allows photographers to print on gloss and matte media with exceptional colour accuracy and gamut, without the need for swapp...
Exceptional image quality, Ultraquiet operation, Easy to set up, use,
Print speeds down a notch from previous version, Comparatively expensive
A near-$1000 photo printer shouldn't give you much to complain about, and on this score, the Canon PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II is a resounding success. Professional photographers will appreciate its flexible media handling and straightforward output control,...

The Canon Pixma Pro9500 Mark II is an excellent printer that photographers capturing RAW images will prefer over the HP B9180 due to the quality of its 16-bit output. Illustrators and designers working in 8-bit may prefer the HP's Photosmart Pro B9180...
Abstract: Today Simon introduces two new printers from Canon – the Canon Pixma Pro9000 MkII and the Canon Pixma Pro9500 MkII.My friend Matt and I have this long lasting debate “Print your own photos V’s Having images printed professionally” I bought a Canon’s s...
The Canon PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II is a formidable printer, designed and constructed to handle heavy traffic. Print quality is excellent, but the unit does have its peculiarities. The enforced borders on fine-art papers are problematic, even though there are...

Like: The image quality is superb. Black and white prints on glossy paper are like the very best traditional silver prints. Print speed at highest quality is better than on the first Canon pigment printer. We produced some of our best prints ever on this
Dislike: The high cost of ink ($31 a cartridge) and the large number of ink tanks makes it expensive to run. Add in the cost of the best Canon papers and you need to make sure that every print is a winner
Great print quality for both colour and monochrome content, good ink cartridge life, good paper handling and support
Painful ink replacement and paper consumable costs, slow print speeds, you'll need to choose paper carefully
If you have the money to run it, Canon's PIXMA Pro 9500 Mark II A3 photo printer will blow you away with its image quality on both full colour and monochrome content. It produces prints we'd be happy to hang in a gallery...
Abstract: With Canon the only company remaining that has a stake in high-end cameras, printers and printing paper, one can expect a certain amount of cross-pollination to take place. The Pro9500 Mark II high-end inkjet printer is a good case in point. It's a beas...
