The editors liked

  • Excellent photo quality
  • WiFi
  • Ethernet
  • Quiet
  • You can print on various papers
  • Matte black and glossy installed automatically
  • Large capacity cartridges (25.9 ml)
  • Good quality colour prints up to A3 size
  • WiFi option is welcome
  • Good print quality
  • 2pl droplet size
  • Up to A3 prints
  • Convenient cartridge arrangement
  • Excellent monochrome results
  • Vivid natural colours
  • Impressive detail levels
  • Quiet print engine
  • We really love this printer. The prints are some of the best we have seen from any digital printer. Colours are rich and accurate to the original photo
  • And the finish is second to none. Only when using a loupe can you tell the difference between the prints from the R3000 and a traditional dark room print. With professional printers
  • You usually have to sacrifice usability for features
  • But not so
  • Exceptional print quality
  • Wide paper support
  • Ethernet por
  • CD/DVD direct print
  • Front panel Pictbridge socket
  • Easy cartridge replacement

The editors didn't like

  • Poor responsiveness
  • Waste of black ink as 2 black cartridges share the same print head
  • Pricey
  • Nine inks make running costs expensive.
  • Ink costs
  • Not a massive improvement over the R2880
  • Larger capacity ink cartridges don't bring huge savings
  • Print speeds are a tad sluggish
  • There is very little to physically fault the R3000 with. However it is not perfect. The printer uses high capacity ink cartridges
  • Which do allow for more cost effective printing
  • But don’t expect refilling this printer to be cheap. Single inks cost somewhere in the region of £25 and there are 9 of them! That said
  • If you are professional photographer selling prints to clients or via public showin
  • Lots of things are fiddly
  • No Photoshop CS5.1 or 64bit support
  • No memory card readers
  • Slow on plain paper
  • Multiple setups can be fiddly

  • Fast. Impressively high-quality photos and graphics. Prints on cut sheets up to 13 by 19 inches. Fine art papers available.
  • Lack of a rated duty cycle makes it unclear how much you can print per month without shortening the printers' useful life.
  • Gorgeous output at fast speed makes the Epson Stylus Photo R3000 of interest to both serious amateurs and professional photographers and graphic artists. Buy it now...

  • Superb print quality, Print speed, Large capacity ink cartridges, Compact size, Excellent LCD screen, Build quality,
  • Price, Straight paper path is a clumsy operation,
  • The R3000 has many features without too many bells and whistles. The quality of printing is first class, I calibrate my monitor before any printer review so I am confident that it is displaying accurate colours, however I still had to to lighten up th...

  • Print quality is breathtakingly good. Colours are vibrant and fine detail resolution is exemplary. There are no strange optical effects when the print is turned sideon to the light and the printed surface is smooth and luminous. Black and white photos on
  • The price. The US price, direct from Epson, is $650 — a current discount special. The full retail price is $850. Ink cartridges are US$30 and AUD$48. Prices are as posted on the Epson web sites, so don't blame the retailers. And collecting ten per cent GS

  • The Epson Stylus Photo R3000 Inkjet Printer is priced at Rs.69,000 (M.O.P). It doesn’t target casual users requiring general everyday printing of say, documents, images or PDFs. The main USP of this device is photo printing and it does that exceptiona...
