  • Easy to learn and use; offers new ways to manage photos; lets you upload photos to Facebook and Flickr automatically; adds video stabilization, ringtone creation, and music lessons
  • Certain apps will be too simple for some users; no intermediate-level music lessons available; video stabilization doesn’t always work; no updates to iDVD
  • iLife ’09 isn’t for those who want to be able to control every detail, but for casual users, this suite is remarkably easy to learn and use, delivering professional results without much work. ...

  • Five strong apps, tightly integrated. Terrific value. Connects to a variety of Web services.
  • iPhoto competitors nearly as good, at no cost. No update to iDVD, which has no Blu-ray support. Awkward handling of multiple iMovies.
  • iLife is greater than the sum of its parts. Tight integration of all five components lets you easily create terrific multimedia projects. If youre just organizing photos or duplicating DVDs, youll find good alternatives, but this is the best way to b...

  • Unparalleled ease of use, Can organize photos by faces and location, Excellent video stabilization, GarageBand teaches piano and guitar
  • Face-tagging only succeeded about half the time, Lacks precise timeline video-editing control, iWeb could use more site-building features
  • Creative apps have always been central to the Mac experience, and iLife ’09 delivers more than its share of worthwhile improvements. For $79, you get a comprehensive suite of multimedia creation tools whose features more than account for its premium...

  • Abstract:  When Apple announced the new iLife ‘09 suite during the MacWorld 2009 Keynote last month, we were immediately intrigued by the seemingly powerful features included in iPhoto and iMovie. If you happened to catch it, you know what I am talking about. F...

  • Abstract:  When we heard about iLife ‘09 last month, Apple touted the Faces and Places features of the iPhone and image stabilization and precise editing in iMovie. How much does all of this pleasure cost? $79 or nothing if you get it with a new Mac. But is it w...

  • iPhoto now has face recognition, geotagging and social network integration, iMovie regains advanced tools lost in iMovie 08, GarageBand now has music lessons
  • iPhotos face detection isnt perfect, Social network integration needs some work, iMovie is lacking for advanced users
  • Apple iLife 09 is a great application suite for simple media organising and editing, and the addition of features like face recognition, geotagging and music lessons makes it worth the update.
