By far the best bit about the Eee Pad Transformer is the design. If you don't have the keyboard attached
You'd never know it was different from any other tablet. When you do hook up the keyboard
It looks like any other mini laptop
Save for a slightly bulkier but incredibly tough aluminium hinge that also acts as the dock. The keyboard is excellent considering the compact size
With the palm re

No more attractive than the Xoom
No HSDPA connectivity
Crappy video
Doesn't charge via USB

Lacks tablet-specific apps
Not capable of everything a regular laptop can do
Keyboard can be fiddly
Some apps don't work with the keyboard
Not fast enough to play hidef video
Hard to find good Android Honeycomb apps
Weighty when docked
Keyboard has to be purchased with tablet even if you're not keen on it
Reflective display
Lack of Honeycomb apps
Sound quality mediocre
Android OS is buggy
Video format support could be better
Honeycomb feels as empty as ever and puts a bit of a damper on things

Propitiatory port / not many connections / poorquality camera
A bit slow with heavyweight games and the OS sometimes lags
Keyboard problems
Lack of video codec support

Although the Eee Pad Transformer is one of our favourite tablets to date
It's not without issues. The Android operating system is arguably the biggest glitch – it's good
But it's not as impressive as the iOS operating system found on the iPad 2. At times
It can be unintuitive to use
And still feels better suited to smartphones than tablets. That said
Physical QWERTY keyboard. Useful touchpad. Lots of Honeycomb-specific function keys. Snug connection with the Transformer. Folds closed like a laptop when connected.
Keyboard is not full-sized. Difficult to dock Transformer. Heavy.

Inexpensive and powerful Honeycomb tablet, Keyboard features fullsized USB and SD, Good Office apps
Mediocre build quality, Average display and speakers, Honeycomb not meant for keyboard and cursor navigation
With a $400 launch price, the Eee Pad Transformer is a viable and low-cost alternative to the Wi-Fi Xoom, which currently runs $600 (May 2011). The Xoom has a better build quality, but both provide the same 10.1-inch Honeycomb experience. I?m not sold on...
In spite of my minor complaints about its design, this tablet is worthy of consideration. Asus's aggressive pricing, coupled with its above-average display, make the Transformer a serious contender. Even if you factor in the extra cost of the docking ...
Android 3.0 is a still a young platform, and Google still has work to do to bring it up to speed with iOS on the iPad. That’s the unescapable fact about all Honeycomb-based tablets around today; similarly important, though, is that all evidence sugges...
Fairly priced with an optional keyboard dock; exceptional battery life; versatile; bright and crisp display; ample memory and external storage space; Tegra 2 processor makes for little to no lag.
Bigger than other tablets with same size display; Honeycomb is still buggy; speakers and cameras are lackluster; backordered nearly everywhere; still lacking widespread tablet-optimized application support.
For the price, the Transformer cannot be beat. If you are seeking a tablet for both fun and to get some work done, the Transformer with its keyboard companion is the tablet for you. However, if you need an Internet connection while in a pinch, you mi...
Currently the most affordable Honeycomb tablet. Speedy Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Honeycomb features strong multitasking, e-mail and calendar notifications. HDMI out for HD video and mirroring. $150 keyboard dock accessory turns the tablet into a virtual notebook.
Optional keyboard accessory was buggy at launch. Honeycomb interface can be cluttered. Virtual keyboard is slightly modified and doesn't handle predictive text well.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 distinguishes itself from the sea of emerging Honeycomb tablets with its aggressive pricing, and an optional accessory that turns it into a virtual notebook. ...
