The x2 suffers from a few slowdowns due to the slightly underpowered Intel Atom processor tucked inside. It's fast enough to get your work done
But you’ll see a few blips on the way and don't expect to be playing any demanding games on it or editing much video either. Despite a nippy 64GB SSD tucked inside

Abstract: The Intel Atom brand tends to find itself attached to bargain-basement hardware – but HP's Atom-based Envy x2 is an upmarket convertible. It runs full Windows 8, sports an 11.6in detachable touchscreen, and supports both desktop- and tablet-style apps.In ...
Overall, I have used all Apple products, heavier notebooks, Windows and Android devices and the experience with my new best friend (the ENVY x2) compared to these is phenomenal. So much so that I will be making purchases for my colleagues in the organisat...

Overall, I admit that I really like the ENVY x2."It lasts without a charge all day, and is light and slim, and seems an ideal compromise between the size of a notebook screen and a tablet screen."Stability presents more of a problem than I am used to on O...
Excellent battery life; Premium brushed metal design; Beats Audio should make sound a little better than your average laptop;

For the first Windows 8 tablet effort from HP, the Envy X2 manages to score some real positives, with an excellent design, some great performance, and a real return to a quality computing experience from the company.The price might be seen as a touch too...

Tablet a bit oversizeD, Paltry mass storage, Limited tabletoptimized apps, Poor 3D graphics performance
In the end, though, we see so much potential in the Envy x2 we're willing to overlook some of its awkwardness. It's the type of device that is sure to improve over time, and it's showing the way to the undeniable future of ultralight laptops....

HP's Envy X2 hybrid is decent if you are looking for a Windows 8 tablet that can also be used for long typing sessions. However, we experienced sluggish performance, a screen that flickered, and a touchpad that sometimes refused to work properly. These is...

15.6in, Full HD screen, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Good array of ports
Big and heavy, Glossy screen, Touchpad is awful
We're not completely taken by the HP Envy X2. It sometimes felt like a chore to use, mainly because of the layout of its keyboard and touchpad, and also because of the performance of its touchpad. For notebook usage while resting it on a desk, we'd use a...
