The editors liked

  • The first thing you'll notice is this slate’s classy aluminium construction. It’s just 4mm at its thinnest point
  • Which is mighty slim
  • And it’s very light as well. It's also a breeze to hold - just grab hold of the cylinder at the bottom that contains the Yoga's mammoth 6
  • 000mAh battery. This also keeps the tablet trucking for hours
  • So if you take it on a long plane journey
  • You won't be withou
  • Sturdy build and kick stand
  • Okay camera
  • Long battery life
  • Best battery life of any tablet
  • Built-in kickstand is useful
  • MicroSD support
  • Comfortable to hold for reading

The editors didn't like

  • While the Yoga Tablet 8 has excellent design and battery life
  • It falls flat everywhere else. Performance is abysmal. Even with its 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM
  • It's just not quick enough to keep up with its similarly-priced peers. A simple task like swiping through the homescreen is laggy and sluggish. Even the latest Nexus 7 - which costs the same as the Yoga Tablet 8 - can handle
  • Odd shape
  • Processor could be better
  • Buggy interface
  • Ugly iOS 6 wannabe interface
  • Year-old tablet specs
  • Tinny
  • Flat sound from speakers
  • 10-inch version doesn't stand sturdy

  • Great battery life, MicroSD card slot
  • Kickstand is difficult to use, SubHD display, Performance isn't up to snuff
  • Even with its great battery life, the rest of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 just isn't up to snuff....

  • Sturdy aluminum construction. Useful kickstand. Feels weightless thanks to unique design.
  • Heavy-handed Android skin. Software bugs. Unimpressive performance
  • The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 is better than its 10-inch counterpart, but it isn't the best small-screen Android tablet out there, and it's more expensive than many competitors....

  • Unique design brings significant operational benefits, May have the best tablet audio yet, MicroSD card slot for storage expansion, Very long battery life, Excellent value
  • Low resolution screen, Doesn't ship with the latest version of Android, Mediocre image quality from 5MP camera
  • The Lenovo Yoga tablets are budget tablets: they're priced aggressively, and don't have some of the features you'll see on higher-end hardware. You'll notice this most in the low-resolution screen and camera images, but there are other aspects as well: th...

  • The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8's super-slim, unique design makes it easy to hold. It's also only $250
  • The tablet's low-resolution screen is dull and the heavily modified operating system is downright ugly
  • Though it feels well-built and has a handy kickstand, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet’s poor performance makes it hard to justify even at its low cost.

  • Innovative onboard kickstand, Incredibly long-lasting battery, Excellent speakers, Super-slim, attractive build
  • Mediocre display, Odd Lenovo skin
  • Lenovo's Yoga Tablet 8 sports the longest running battery on a small tablet and an adjustable kickstand, but its specs trail cheaper competitors....

  • I actually really liked both of these tablets. Even though they aren't super spec'd out like the Galaxy Note 10.1 or the Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, it's still a really nice tablet. Although I think I'd prefer the 8-inch tablet for everyday use, th...

  • very good, if you seek battery life) I was genuinely surprised (in a good way) by the Lenovo Yoga Tablet design and overall philosophy, and at the same time, I’m pleased to see that instead of trying to go head-to-head against Nexus 7 Lenovo carved a...

  • Comfortable to hold, Built-in stand, Light weight, MicroSD card slot
  • Screen could be better, MicroSD card slot a little difficult to access, Some of the software might be annoying
  • Lenovo's Yoga 8 Android tablet is a good one to go for if you want an 8in device that's easy to hold and which has a built-in stand...
