Design
The phone is sleek and thin
But weighing in at
Not a Full HD screen
So-so video performance
High price
Old version of Android
Uninspiring design
Samsung software
Battery life
Poor design
Lacklustre screen
Phone addition is pointless on such a large device
No flash player
Browser zoom and reflow needs work
IR Blaster range poor
Mediocre camera offers fewer possibilities with the stylus than the Galaxy Note 10.1
Low gaming capabilities
Lags
Edges could have been made thinner to make it easier to handle
Universal Remote mode not really worth it
Quite expensive
Screen resolution a disapointment
Not all the features work as they should and it's a good £60 more expensive than its rivals
Battery life isn't class leading
The price is high
Fingerprint scanner placement needs a rethink
Galaxy S8+ a serious consideration if S Pen doesn't appeal

Stylish and ergonomic, S, Pen is very useful, Speedy performance, Multi, window support
Too expensive, Screen resolution could be higher
I began this review by questioning the rationale behind the Note 8.0 and its pricing, but the more I've used this device, the more I've come to understand its value. At £339 for the base 16GB/Wi-Fi model it still feels overpriced in comparison to the iPa...

Stylus for drawing and writing, good screen, powerful processor, large battery, expandable memory
Not cheap, rivals can do the same for less
As a tablet the Galaxy Note 8.0 is considerably more expensive than Google's Nexus 7 and even the never knowingly underpriced Apple's iPad mini. Still, it has a fine, big screen, powerful processor and the S Pen with its well designed attendant software...

Battery life, Mediocre camera offers fewer possibilities with the stylus than the Galaxy Note 10.1, Low gaming capabilities, lags, Edges could have been made thinner to make it easier to handle, Universal Remote mode not really worth it
The Galaxy Note 8.0 is an excellent Android tablet that just nearly merits five stars. On the one hand, it's packed with enough fun and usefulness to win over people who prefer a slightly smaller device than the Galaxy Note 10.1. On the other, the 10.1's ...

Stylish, a decent size, S Pen is still a great tool, brilliant for video
Quite expensive, screen resolution a disapointment,
The Note range remains a solid favourite of ours. The Note 10.1 and Note II are devices we adore. The Note 8 is a solid performer too, but we can't help think it's stuck in the middle of two giants. But it's a brilliant size for a tablet, it's less...
S Pen; Perfect size for holding one handed; Bright, colourful display; Impressive multitasking.
This is a great device for play and productivity, with the handy S Pen stylus and great multi-tasking features. It's a great size for holding in one hand and boasts the usual clutch of impressive Samsung features...
