Design
The phone is sleek and thin
But weighing in at
Not a Full HD screen
So-so video performance
High price
Old version of Android
Uninspiring design
Samsung software
Battery life
Poor design
Lacklustre screen
Phone addition is pointless on such a large device
No flash player
Browser zoom and reflow needs work
IR Blaster range poor
Mediocre camera offers fewer possibilities with the stylus than the Galaxy Note 10.1
Low gaming capabilities
Lags
Edges could have been made thinner to make it easier to handle
Universal Remote mode not really worth it
Quite expensive
Screen resolution a disapointment
Not all the features work as they should and it's a good £60 more expensive than its rivals
Battery life isn't class leading
The price is high
Fingerprint scanner placement needs a rethink
Galaxy S8+ a serious consideration if S Pen doesn't appeal

Better-made than the Note 10.1, Screen is bright, colorful, and has decent (if not class-leading) pixel density, S Pen and multitasking features are genuinely useful additions, Good performance for the size, SD card slot allows for cheap storage expansion
Worse battery life than the competition, Smooth plastic back is harder to hold on to than the Nexus 7 or iPad mini, No NFC or cellular, at least in the US as of this writing, Tablet camera is tablet camera
Samsung's strategy in the mobile market appears to be success through catering to a sea of niches. I've also heard it referred to as having a device at every inch. In this sense, Samsung is the antitheses of Apple where simplicity in product lines is para...

It actually offers a lot of wonderful features. If you don't need the S Pen or those options, by all means, save yourself half the dough and pick up a Nexus 7. It's the better choice for your use....
Fast. Well-built with well-balanced weight. Excellent pen support. Acts as a TV remote.
Expensive. Battery life isn't great. Poor cameras
If you want a tablet with a pressure-sensitive pen for writing or drawing, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is a top choice, but it'll cost you twice as much as other leading small-screen slates....

Great multitasking software, S Pen is great for note taking and annotating, IR blaster helps integrate with home entertainment, Exceptional performance, A microSD card slot for virtually endless storage
Made mostly of cheap feeling plastic, The display is low-res and noticeably pixelated, Speakers are easily covered up, Mediocre camera and video quality, There is still a content gap, albeit closing, for Android tablets,
The Galaxy Note 8.0 may not exhibit the best hardware we've seen in a tablet, it may be made of the very same plastic found on other Galaxy devices that we turn our noses up to and it certainly does not have the best display we've seen on a mobile devic...
