The editors didn't like
The audio quality coming out of the speakers is a definite disappointment
Especially on the 10.5
Which feels like it should have immersive sound to match the incredible screen. Samsung's TouchWiz still causes some stutter. There are a lot of redundant a
It's still plastic
Uneven fingerprint sensor
SideSync is unreliable
Starting at $500 or £400
It's a high-end purchase. Touchscreen response can lag if many of its memory-hogging apps are open in the background
Bronze version not for everyone
Screen is overly saturated
Let down by Android tablet app selection
Some content can look a little over saturated
Sound quality not the best
Limited bezel
Oversaturation on display
Disappointing Android tablet apps
Not everyone will like bronze version
Touchwiz makes pointless user interface changes
Fingerprint scanner often fails to recognise fingerprint
Software still freezes occasionally
Especially when switching between apps
Magazine UX largely unimpressive
A bit of extra power from the speakers wouldn't go amiss
Screen feels almost too bright and vivid
No black model available
Isn't dust/water-resistant like GS5
Fingerprint Scanner isn't ideal for tablet use
Sony's Xperia Z2 tablet is a little thinner and lighter
The combination of vibrant, uber-crisp screen and battery life longer than Dirk Diggler's portable pal makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S a worthy travel tablet. It's not without its kinks, but it's strong enough for both business and entertainment to make it...
Abstract: Launched a while ago, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is definitely a great tablet that not only offers a great slim design, but also high-end specs like the Quad HD display. Today, we find that the 4G LTE version designed for the American operator T-Mobile...

Beautiful highresolution AMOLED displays. Absurdly thin and light. Expandable storage via MicroSD slot. Multi Window mode is a useful extra, as is SideSync if you own a Galaxy phone. Solid battery life
TouchWiz UI means there's a bit of bloatware in the mix. That same plastic dimpled backing as the Samsung Galaxy S5 (although it does look better on these tablets)
excellent display, slim and lightweight design, many interfaces, memory can be upgraded, LTE, allows for calls, decent camera with LED flash, good battery life
poor speakers, only USB 2.0, no S-pen, no IP certification, modest microphone
The material choice is limited to a lot of plastic and some glass. Here, the test device is not on the same street as the iPad. On the other hand, the Tab S 10.5 is slimmer than Apple's star model. Yet, the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet can undercut this and is a...

Abstract: Over the past three days, I've covered the hardware , software and performance of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 . And believe it or not, I'm not even to the most important part yet. The battery is what drives the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, what keeps it going thr...
Abstract: As the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, Samsung has a lot to live up to. It's created oodles of phones and tablets that have helped to move Android into the hands of the mass market, bringing Android to the top in popularity. For 2014, Samsun...
Gorgeous, roomy AMOLED display, Ultra-light for its size class, Nearly chart-topping battery life
Speakers sound tinny and distorted at maximum volume, Smooth back panel lacks tactile grip, Soft navigation buttons flanking home button are oversensitive, No support for NFC
A premium-priced tablet with an eye-popping display, the Tablet S delivers the most innovation we've seen in several tablet generations. It's the best full-size Android slate to date. Read More…...
Abstract: Samsung's been on a downslide lately when it comes to its hardware designs. The nice-looking Galaxy S 4 was followed by the plasticky Galaxy S5 , and while the various Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab tablets have not been ugly, neither have they been pretty. S...
Abstract: Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review! Can Samsung's large number of tablets move out of the way for this "flagship" tablet? The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 packs in a lot of the same specs from the Tab Pro that was announced at CES, but it manages to pack it al...
