Great power
Lovely screen
Basically everything about the hardware. The lightness
The thinness
The lovely screen
The front-facing speakers
The waterproofness
The Snapdragon 801
The 3GB RAM. All that stuff is just great. We also like that it can power noise canceling earbuds
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet's processor is searingly powerful and copes well with games. It has a bright
Vivid display and its razor-thin body can be taken in the shower without worry

Sony hasn’t deviated much from the design of the original Tablet Z
Just like the recently launched Xperia Z2 phone
Both products are more refinements of an already top-notch product
And that’s no bad thing at all. That means you’re treated to a slim and light tablet
That weighs barely anything in your hand (just 439g
Even less than last year’s)
But you’re given a whole 10.1-inches of screen
Fine screen – if not the best
Clean and detailed sound
Clutter-free interface
Waterproofing
Beautiful design. Incredibly thin and light. Attractive and easytouse Android skin. Expandable memory
Gorgeous display
Topnotch design & finish
Super lightweight
Waterproof body (even with no cover for the audio jack)

The editors didn't like
Not a lot of tangible improvements
Likely to be pricey
In contrast
It's basically all software. Again. The skin Sony puts on just doesn't work very well. It slows things down
It makes things look worse
And it's less intuitive to use than stock Android. In fact
If this thing was a Nexus device and ran stoc
It loses its battery far too quickly in standby mode. Huge bezels around the display don't look good and make the body needlessly big
And its slim design has resulted in the whole thing being a little flexible
Weak waterproofing flaps
Battery life could be improved
Expensive
No killer first/third party tablet apps
Big bezels = a very wide tablet
Bezel size to excess
Display resolution behind the competition
Display colour is warm
Reflective glass
The bezel round the display is ridiculously wide
And the sound is not very powerful
Screen glare
Plastic casing doesn't feel premium
Hard to use onehanded in portrait mode
Fewer apps optimized for a 10in display
Disappointing quality speakers
Display can appear artificial
Range of Android apps smaller than iOS apps
Just like with the Xperia Z2 smartphone
We can’t help but wonder if Sony could have done even more with its update. While we have no complaints with a refinement of last year’s tablet
We would have loved to have seen a few surprises thrown in. The main problem we have with the Tablet Z2 is the same as last year’s model
Its 16
9 aspect ratio. Many Android slates pack in the same screen ratio
A
More detail on rival tabs
Still a lack of optimised Android tab apps
Reflective front
Chassis flex
Poor quality speakers. Screen sometimes looks artificial. Android tablet app selection still not as good as iOS
Thinner bezel
Please
Video Unlimited still has no HD content to view on the overFull HD screen
Microlags when you launch certain games (but everything runs smoothly after that)
After using the Xperia Z2 Tablet as my main tablet it is clear that this delivers an experience comparable to the iPad Air. There are still some apps that look better on the iPad Air, but overall I didn't run into any major issues while switching to this...
Weighing 15.5 oz and measuring 0.25 inch thick, the Z2 Tablet is a hairbreadth lighter and slimmer than the iPad Air, which weighs 1 LB and measures 0.29 inch thick. Suggested price for the Z2 is $499, same as the iPad Air's published price. The Sony Xper...

Fantastically thin, light and waterproof design. Snapdragon 801 provides more than enough power. Great display caps of a generally solid hardware offering.
Android is lacklustre on 10inch tablets compared to iOS or Windows. Camera isn’t that good. Bezels are a little too large.
Inside the Xperia Z2 Tablet we find a 22.8 Wh (6,000 mAh at 3.8 V) battery, which is a reasonable size for a tablet this thin and light, but not hugely amazing. Windows 8.1 tablets I’ve reviewed in the past, such as the Asus Transformer Book T100 , manage...
There hasn't been a ton of Android tablets this year outside of the Samsung camp, so this is definitely a nice breath of fresh air. The hardware alone is worthy of your attention, though the software, while functional enough and pretty decent on the eyes,...
Thin construction and low weight, Fast SoC, MHL 3.0, Micro SD port, Protected against dust and dirt, Good display, Decent battery runtimes
Display frame susceptible to pressure, Position and sound of the speakers, Mediocre microphone
In Review Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet.Sony's engineers did a lot of things right with the Xperia Z2 tablet and currently deliver one of the best Android tablets. We can fully recommend the device if you are looking for a fast and thin device with a great displa...
Abstract: These days it isn't enough just to produce a good-looking tablet. To succeed in a very crowded sector, manufacturers also need to offer standout functionality. It's arguable that Sony's 10.1-inch Xperia Z2 Tablet majors on looks but disappoints on the oth...
Abstract: The smartphone market is not the only one Sony is hoping to make an impact in, with the company introducing what its vision of a high-end Android tablet is with the Xperia Tablet Z at last year's MWC. The first iteration was something that was very apprec...

Ultimately it is a matter of personal preference. Both these tablets stand head and shoulders above the rest of the 10in tablet world. They are thin and light, well made, designed and built. They offer great displays and excellent performance, decent came...
