  • Abstract:  Last year's Spectrobes was a marked success: Disney shipped over 700,000 copies of the game, and it was the highest-selling third-party game for March 2007. Not bad for Disney's first original IP, developed by the then-unknown Jupiter (their earmark ...

  • Abstract:  When the original Spectrobes came along, I was worried that it would be little more than a Pokémon clone. My fears were largely unfounded, but the game suffered from enough problems to be a disappointment for me regardless. Spectrobes returns with a se...

  • Abstract:  If you played the original Spectrobes last year, you’ll be happy to know that this one improves on the first one in virtually every way – albeit marginally. You’re once again playing Rallen, a space cadet with just a little bit of attitude. ...

  • Abstract:  Pokemaniacs can attest that the urge to "catch em all" in some games can be irresistible. Yet while Spectrobes has strong instant appeal, this fossil-fuelled sequel still does not have the same long-term allure as Nintendos pocket monster series. Yo...

  • Battles are fun, they take a lot of the tedium out of the RPG ‘grind’ so many games suffer from. Collecting fossils and minerals across varied (albeit a tad generic) worlds adds an interesting element.
  • The game starts a little slow, saving is limited to special areas which can be a little annoying on a handheld system. Camera controls would have been a nice touch for those demanding battles.

  • Sammeltrieb wird geweckt, OnlineMarktplatz, Ausgraben macht Laune
  • schwache Story, mäßige Präsentation, nervige Musik, viel hin und her laufen, langweilige Dialoge, simples Kampfsystem, Kamera häufig suboptimal, sehr eindimensionale Charaktere
