  • Excellent writing and voiceovers; challenging, varied puzzles; quite possibly the best co-op mode of 2011.
  • Loading screens are a bit too frequent; no Half-Life Easter eggs this time.

  • Abstract:  Valve Software surprised everyone with what, at first, seemed like an innocuous little first-person puzzle game thrown in to 2007's The Orange Box, a fantastic first-person gaming bundle that had much bigger names as its headliners. But over the yea...

  • Consistently clever and challenging puzzles; excellent singleplayer and coop campaigns; fantastic presentation and audio design.
  • Second act is a bit aimless inbetween stages; new ending theme is no "Still Alive."

  • Portal 2 is the best Valve release to date, and one of the most refreshing, exciting and innovative games we've ever played. There's no doubt in our minds that numerous Game of the Year awards have now already been shotgunned, and with mighty good reason...

  • Abstract:  No one tells a story the way Valve does.Rather than take a cinematic “here’s the story, stupid” route that is the industry standard, Valve tells stories by dropping the player into an environment that provides 90% of the story. In the case o...

  • A gorgeous game, rife with witty dialogue delivered by engaging characters, Portal 2 is easily a shoo-in for Game Of The Year. There is no chance that we could possibly forget the experience in the next year… or even decade. It just does so many things...

  • Abstract:  It’s been a long, long time. Three and a half years after the cult classic forever changed the internet and bred many a meme, Valve Software returns after two years of zombie bashing with science! Literally throwing players into a mix of physics tests,...
