The editors liked

  • Very stylish
  • Really lets you dictate how you play
  • Great side-missions
  • Useful new augmentations
  • Cleverly multi-layered story
  • Breach mode adds value
  • Politically charged plot full of branching choices
  • Open-ended gameplay lets you pick your approach
  • Looks gorgeous - especially now the yellow tint is gone
  • Stealth still excellent
  • Looks lovely on PC
  • Amazing amount of choice in exploration

The editors didn't like

  • Storyline collapses late on
  • Not as long as you might hope
  • Some of the facial texturing in cut-scenes is slightly dodgy
  • Hope you've brought change for the swear jar
  • Gunplay is so much better
  • You won't want to stay stealthy
  • Terrible plot
  • Unsatisfactory conclusion
  • Combat still a mess

  • If you have played a Deus Ex game before, you will feel right at home with Mankind Divided. For novice players, several tutorials have been added to teach the sneaking and cover mechanics. Graphics on Ultra are stunning and definitely look 2016 thanks to...

  • Abstract:  Adam Jensen needs a nerf. Five or six hours into Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, I imagined the game's bad guys sending angry emails to developer Eidos Montreal complaining about their overpowered player-controlled adversary. Every fortified area Jensen entere...

  • Abstract:  At the start of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided , the player can choose to view a 12 minute recap video which offers the entire, rather silly, nature of the story within the franchise. Largely a synopsis events from the previous console entry, Deus Ex: Human Rev...

  • Abstract:  Good news! If you liked Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you're going to like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Developer Eidos Montreal hasn't really screwed with the magic formula here, which depending on what you come to a sequel for, could be both good and bad. The...

  • Abstract:  The eviction noticed burned pink on the apartment door. Neighbors stood callously outside on the second floor walk basking in the white foglight of the open-air atrium, whispering at eavesdrop levels about his financials woes. He sat on the couch whimperi...

  • Abstract:  Square-Enix invited us into their VIP theater this E3 2015 to check out Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It's two years after the events of Human Revolution, and humanity has seen better days. Augmented humans are forced into ghettos and camps. Considering tha...

  • Mankind Divided isn't scared to change up the familiar Deus Ex formula, but keeps the things that really matter. That means you get incredible narrative depth, detailed worlds full of passageways and alternate paths to find, and gameplay that lets you pick...
