  • Abstract:  Rockstar Games has a reputation for creating a lot of different things: violent murder simulators, drug dealing minigames, and car stealing games. So Beaterator comes as a bit of a surprise; the software isn't a game at all, but a full-featured music c...

  • Abstract:  Beaterator is not a toy. It's not game. It's a software program that will turn your PSP into a music-making machine. There are no rhymes to bust, no rhythms to emulate, no points to collect, and no levels to pass. If you want to create your own songs, ...

  • Thousands of loops and instruments allow one to create truly original music, songs can be exported to Rockstar’s website where they can be shared, the sound quality is high
  • The interface can be convoluted, steep learning curve
  • Learning how to navigate and apply the many different options of Beaterator will take some time and practice, and while I’m not saying that putting in the effort isn’t worth it in the end, I am saying that today’s market seems less likel...

  • Deep, complex music sequencer , Levels of play from simple to more in-depth , Loads of excellent samples
  • Most loops have similar, non-descriptive titles , Not fun, in the traditional sense
  • Beaterator is an excellent piece of software, but be sure you know exactly what it is before you hand over your cash. Those looking for a rhythm game will be very disappointed....

  • Abstract:  From the creators of Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar comes Beaterator, a fully fledged music program for the PlayStation Portable, thanks to the union with Timbaland. Reminiscent of those old PC games, well software applications that allowed people to creat...

  • I’d be stoked to have this on my PC, let alone a handheld gaming console. It’s powerful and fully featured, yet necessarily user friendly.
  • You’ve got to have headphones in, as the PSP speakers just don’t let you hear the layers in your compositions very well. Certainly no fault of the game though.

  • Abstract:  Beaterator is sort of a hard game to review. But believe me when I say that's not at all a bad thing. Scribblenauts turned out to be a bit hard to review also, and it appears to me that there's certain problems with giving useful, accurate information ...
