The editors liked

  • Incredible technically
  • More God of War goodness
  • Loads of combat
  • Runs beautifully
  • Looks amazing for a PSP game
  • All the brutal fun you'd expect from a GoW title
  • Bloody as all hell
  • Prequel to the PS2 God Of War games
  • You get to find a few more details into Kratos life and gives you a bit of some back log story that helps explain God of War and God of War II

The editors didn't like

  • Lack of adventuring aspects
  • Unskippable cutscenes
  • Awkward dodging controls
  • Kind of short for a God of War
  • Not the longest PSP game but still the best.

  • These chains are a little short for comfort, but otherwise this is the single best game on the PSP and one of the finest experiences on any handheld. Magnificent....

  • Abstract:  Chains of Olympus really shows off what the PSP hardware can do as almost everything in the game breathes with incredible life. Torches scattered throughout the game spit sparks with incredible light sourcing effects, walls glisten with moisture from w...

  • Abstract:  When God of War II was announced, many gamers just assumed that itd be released on the PS3, being that it would be released a few months after Sonys big bad console. But it was for the PS2, leaving those with cash to burn and the loyalty to stick wi...

  • Abstract:  I don’t typically throw around terms like best game ever on a platform very lightly. But then again, when have I previously gotten a chance to play a game like God of War: Chains of Olympus. The PlayStation Portable has seen some very solid titl...

  • Outstanding technical and artistic visuals, Combat is intense and gory, Soundtrack fits the game perfectly.
  • Very, very little in the way of new gameplay elements, Can easily be beaten in less than seven hours, Could have used more puzzles, platforming segments, and bosses.
  • Although it feels a bit like God of War: Lite, Chains of Olympus delivers a great, combat-heavy adventure with excellent production values. ...

  • Epic story and sense of scale worthy of the series, Some of the best graphics on a handheld to date, Combat is nearly flawless, Awe inspiring level design,
  • Very short, Not enough "epic" feeling boss fights, Dodging without the right analog takes some getting used to.

  • Abstract:  I guess I shouldn’t be complaining that it was less than a year ago that I was sitting down to write a review of God of War II. Like the first game on the PlayStation 2, I loved the sequel, and was pretty thrilled to hear (immediately upon release of ...

  • God of War is an amazing franchise and God of War: Chains of Olympus is an outstanding achievement, not just for the PSP, but as a worthy installment in this legendary saga. In many ways it plays better than the console version when it comes to control...

  • Abstract:  Kratos may be the original mangod, but Ready at Dawn have proven themselves to once again be gods amongst men. God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP is an incredible portable achievement and one that handily puts many current generation console tit...
