  • Expertly paced storytelling and carefully crafted gameplay, all wrapped neatly in Spartan armor, delivers the best Halo campaign to date. Multiplayer fans get even more bang for their buck with Reach’s bottomless suite of online options.
  • It’s still Halo, so if you didn’t like it before, Reach probably won’t change your mind. First Prev 1 2 Next Last

  • Abstract:  Everyone loves Halo, right? It may be the most popular science-fiction first-person shooter of the past decade, but that doesn’t mean everyone is on the bandwagon to call each and every release in the Microsoft-published franchise the next coming. Man...

  • Halo: Reach is a fantastic package, with several core components that on their own can outclass many other games. The campaign is excellent, backed by solid storytelling and a powerful audio-visual experience. The competitive multiplayer is familiar, y...

  • Abstract:  On November 15, 2001, Microsoft officially joined the console wars with the release of the Xbox. The system launched alongside a handful of titles, including arguably the sole game that helped establish Microsoft in the console market and popularize ...

  • Abstract:  Bungie has managed to do something that eluded George Lucas years ago: create a prequel to a beloved sci-fi series that not only simply works, but is at times better than the installments it precedes. After spending ten hours with the campaign, and ano...

  • Abstract:  I prepared for Halo: Reach – the final instalment in the sprawling Halo video game series to be made by Bungie, its founding studio – in what might seem a peculiar way: By rereading a decade-old book. Erik Nylund’s million-selling Halo: The Fall of Rea...

  • Abstract:  The really interesting thing about Halo: Reach is that we know how it ends - no one's walking away from this battle. It's the Total Party Kill of the Halo universe, an epic battle that's been referenced in past games and even written about in the novel...

  • Abstract:  I’ll admit I haven’t read Eric Nylund’s Fall of Reach novel. I know I probably should have but, ya know, I don’t have unlimited time for my geeky tendencies. That being said I’ve played every Halo game, including Reach, and read every Halo comic so I ...

  • And so it comes to this. Bungie has left the Microsoft stable and joined up with Activision to start an entirely new franchise. After the success of Halo, you can bet on Bungie coming up with a formidable title for Activision to add to its stable. Ho...

  • It's still Halo -- so if you didn't like it before Reach probably won't change your mind
  • An epic story, incredible pacing, and a spot-on mix of old and new elements make Reach's campaign Halo's best yet. Oh, and when you've finished the story mode, plan on spending a large chunk of your life in the massive online universe. Any way you cut it...
