The editors liked

  • New very practical mount of minimal size
  • Simple to use
  • Compactness
  • Strong speakers
  • A TomTom for under a ton? Yes please.
  • Navigating with TomTom is like having a secret Government permit that opens up roads just for you – maps are cartoony but clear
  • Voice directions calm but accurate and the routing rarely stumbles. The comprehensive database of safety camera location...
  • Excellent price
  • Bright screen
  • Bluetooth capability
  • Autobahn fast. Quick route calculation and killer directions. Best voice weve heard.

The editors didn't like

  • No multimedia functions
  • No advanced functions (Bluetooth
  • TMC
  • IQ Routes
  • Etc.)
  • No software improvements compared to former versions
  • Only a single waypoint possible between starting and end points
  • Not as fast as previous versions (reactivity and trip...
  • It's lacking an SD card slot. No Bluetooth.
  • TomTom is pretty ruthless about its pricepoints

  • Poor battery life
  • Basic styling
  • Not many extras in the box. Have to buy in European maps.

  • Easy-to-use, Outstanding navigation
  • No printed manual, Tricky to reset mid-route
  • If you spent a lot of time driving around unfamiliar areas, the TomTom One could save enormous amounts of time and frustration. Granted, the design does have a couple of minor issues, and the lack of a printed manual is a little irksome, but the navig...
