The editors liked

  • For a relatively frail pair of over-ears
  • The Harman Kardon Soho pack quite a punch with a 16Hz-20kHz frequency response. Mids sounds warm and encompassing
  • But it’s the bass especially that impresses
  • With hefty
  • Crisp reproduction of the lows (Do be aware though that this makes them much better suited to listening to music - we found that the bass tended to magnify unnecessary noises in online
  • Wellintegrated and easytouse touch commands
  • Quality materials and construction
  • Warm sound
  • Power and very little distortion
  • NFC
  • The Harman Kardon Soho Wireless is a compact
  • On-ear Bluetooth headphone that features excellent build quality
  • Very good sound for Bluetooth and touch-sensitive controls. It also folds flat to fit in a nice carrying case that's travel-friendly
  • Clean design
  • Spot
  • On touch controls
  • Alternative wired listening
  • Stylish luxury design and finish
  • Small
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Good dynamics
  • Warm bass
  • Sleek
  • Stylish design
  • Comfortable ear cushions
  • Folding design
  • Clean treble
  • Stylish
  • Functional design
  • Extremely portable
  • Responsive touch controls

The editors didn't like

  • Harman Kardon is known for its design chops
  • But we’re not convinced about the Soho’s aesthetics
  • Not by a long shot. The straight lines
  • Felt and pastel colours all combine to create a 70s vibe - these look like something you’d see on the coffee table of a Danish shipping magnate’s hillside concrete home on stilts
  • Especially the disgusting muddy brown model (trust us
  • Go for the black or white)
  • Comfort really depends on the size of your head
  • Mids and treble slightly underpowered
  • Overall sound masked
  • Calling in a noisy environment isn't easy
  • It's fairly expensive at $250
  • It doesn't sound quite as good or fit as comfortably as the Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth
  • Expensive
  • Scratch
  • Prone leather
  • Comfort issues
  • Narrow headband and adjusters
  • Price
  • No bass below 50 Hz
  • Slightly tight fit
  • Lacks clarity
  • Poor noise isolation
  • Flabby
  • Muddy bass
  • Sound lacks detail
  • Headband needs more padding
  • Poor passive noise isolation

  • Look and feel great, sound terrific, comfortable, touch controls really work, use in wired or wireless mode
  • Don't stay on when I bend over while wearing them; no sensor to stop music when you take them off

  • Could be pricey for some. Touch controls is a little cumbersome at first. There is some sound leakage at high volumes
  • In the end, Harman Kardon righted the wrongs of the first gen Soho with the Soho Wireless. The overall package has gotten a significant boost overall in sound, improved comfort, and features.  The Soho Wireless retails for $249.95 and is available now...

  • Powerful audio performance with boosted, rich lows and crisp highs. Handsome design with leather, stainless steel, and swipe-based control pad on right ear. Can used in wired, passive mode.
  • Frustrating, swipe-based control pad is not always responsive to touch
  • Harman Kardon's Soho Wireless headphones deliver rich, powerful Bluetooth audio performance in a stunning design....

  • The Harman Kardon Soho Wireless is a compact, on-ear Bluetooth headphone that features excellent build quality, very good sound for Bluetooth and touch-sensitive controls. It also folds flat to fit in a nice carrying case that's travel-friendly
  • It's fairly expensive at $250, it doesn't sound quite as good or fit as comfortably as the Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth
  • Harman Kardon's well-built and compact Soho Wireless is a solid on-ear Bluetooth headphone that doesn't quite surpass competing models from Bose and Beats....

  • Abstract:  The controls are all on the right earcup—the 3.5mm input, micro-USB charging port, Bluetooth pairing control and the touch controls. I can understand putting the touch control on the right side, but it's hard to get used to having the cable connection on ...

  • Harman Kardon's Soho Wireless ($250) is a new Bluetooth on-ear headphone set — a newer version of the company's prior Soho Slim wired headphones. Soho Wireless has a similar look with a leather finish, but it has a different feel when wearing. In addition...

  • One would get these headphones mainly for sleek and discreet style. The compact size and non-flashy (unless you get the white model) design is great for those going for the mature look. They are very attractive. I would wear these on a day that it'd like...

  • Abstract:  The Harman Kardon Soho are a pair of on-ear headphones that have clearly taken some design inspiration from the Bowers and Wilkins P3. Priced at £180, you can now actually buy them for closer to £80 on Amazon putting them into budget headphone realms. Whi...

  • Compact size, lovely to look at, not too weighty, they don't hurt my ears (I can wear them all day), excellent sound, while they do block out some background noise, they don't completely isolate me when wearing them, perfect for travel
  • The cable is not tangle-free; may be too tight for those with larger heads
