The sound bar doesn't offer DTS
X capability. The sound isn't very musical
And the subwoofer doesn't blend as well as some. The main speaker is very large and may not fit on a regular TV stand

The inserts in the bar to encompass a TV's feet don't fit all TVs, Just two HDMI inputs may not be enough for some
It's expensive but worth every penny for those that want great sound and have a 55in or bigger TV. It's simple to use, it also has a remote or can be controlled by the LG app for your smartphone or Google Assistant if you have a compatible speaker...
The size of this soundbar neatly correlates with the size of its soundstage. An impressive Atmos system, but greater EQ/calibration options would help polish its performance...
Big soundstage, Great with Atmos, Impressive bass, Attractive design, Excellent build quality

This large and well-made soundbar can deliver a big, if rather front-heavy, soundstage from Dolby Atmos and also sounds great with music. However, the lack of DTS:X support will disappoint some, and puts it at a disadvantage to the competition...
Soundstage front-heavy, No DTS:X support, Limited HDMi inputs, Audio setup very basic

Expansive, immersive sound, Clear dialogue, Good detail in mids and highs, Atmos speakers work well,
Dynamics aren't as strong as class-leaders, Bass lacks solidity and drive, Can't fully decode DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks,
Launching a £1200 soundbar was an ambitious and bold move by LG and the SK10Y should be applauded. We couldn't describe it as the perfect soundbar, but it shows definite progress for a company whose audio products have struggled in recent times. Fingers cr...

Easy setup, Get's pretty loud without distorting, App gives you extra control over output of soundbar and sub, Good sound quality, Compatible with plenty of formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS Digital Surround
No DTS:X, Chromecast builtin is finnicky at times, The surround sound speakers are not included, Price
Though it doesn't have everything a home theater geek might need, it has more than enough to appease their audio needs. And if you're an average person looking to upgrade your sound then you can't go wrong with the LG SK10Y if you have the money to invest...
