The editors didn't like

  • Sound is very poor
  • One thing the skinny frame does impact upon is sound quality

  • Thin
  • Which means you’ll need to team the Samsung UE40B8000 up with some separate speakers if you want...
  • Especially weak sound
  • Can be beaten for black insight and colour balance

  • Abstract:  Samsung isn't the UK's biggest selling TV brand for nothing, you know. For, in another display of the sort confidence - bordering on bravado - and vision that's left its rivals trailing, Samsung has this year launched not just a couple of TVs using LED ba...

  • Abstract:  Samsung UN55B8000 belongs to Samsung’s repertoire of the edge-lit LED based LCDs TVs and the company is calling it LED TVs. The UNB8000 series is different from the cheaper siblings due to the 240Hz processing and if you wondering if this feature is wo...

  • The thin design, loads of display features and overall good quality picture are all standout features,
  • The TV fades out quite a bit when in well lit rooms or is viewed from the side.
  • Unless you plan on using this TV in a dark theater room you may want to look at something else....

  • Abstract:  Samsung's UE40B8000 is so slim that you half expect it to have just strut off of a catwalk in Milan and into your living room. Despite being only 29.9 mm thick, it manages to house all of its electronics, including a TV tuner, 200Hz Motion Plus proces...

  • If you haven't seen an LED TV, you owe it to yourself to visit the electronics store just to see one. The image quality is truly outstanding, and this unit is better than most of the competition at this price. Make no mistake - the technology is still ...

  • Abstract:  Samsung has rapidly (in the last few years, at least) taken over the flatscreen market with its LCD TVs. But, just as everybody else was catching up, the company has further flexed its technology muscles with its LED-backlit panels, and therefore taken...

  • Build Quality, Features, Color Reproduction, Availability, Smooth Video Playback
  • Price, Poor Contrast, Off Angle Picture Quality, Value
  • After over a month and a half of daily use, the Samsung UN55B8000 can be summed up as a mixed bag of great and not so great characteristics. The first thing to mention and the distinguishing feature is the 1.2 inch depth profile. There is no consumer...

  • Abstract:  If you can afford its high price tag, the Samsung UN46B8000 is a nice addition to any entertainment center. Its design is hard to beat, and the interactive features add a new dimension to the television viewing experience.

  • Abstract:  This thing is gorgeous, and I haven’t even turned it on yet. Über-thin—I think it’s two dimensional. Amazingly, the attractiveness of this set is only one of its claims to fame. The UN46B8000 uses LED side lighting, which means that the LEDs that creat...
