The editors liked

  • The Up 24 looks very nice indeed. The lack of screen gives it a minimalist style that makes it look more like a piece of fitness kit than a gadget. We prefer the red version
  • As it’s more striking
  • But it also comes in a classy black. But it doesn't just look good
  • It's clever too. As well as your activity
  • It can track what you eat and drink
  • And even your mood through its own app. If you don’t
  • Wireless syncing added
  • Stylish and lightweight
  • Very soft rubber for comfort
  • IOS and Android compatible
  • Stylish
  • Comfortable
  • Newly-added Bluetooth revolutionises Up
  • App is great
  • Android app is now as good as iOS app
  • Weeklong battery life Very simple to set up and use Sleep monitoring seems accurate Data displayed neatly
  • Accurate step and sleep data
  • Smart alarm
  • Great app
  • Added Bluetooth means hassle-free syncing
  • The app introduces challenges and streaks
  • Unobtrusive and stylish
  • Lightweight
  • Comprehensive stat tracking
  • Bluetooth syncing
  • Bluetooth Smart support for real-time syncing
  • Slim
  • Stylish design
  • Great silent alarm feature

The editors didn't like

  • The lack of screen is a real pain. If you're not going to regularly check an iPhone or Android smartphone (Windows Phone is not supported)
  • You're going to have little idea of how you're doing and whether you're going to hit your goals for the day – which is half the point of a pricey fitness tracker over a free mobile app. It means the Up 24 is nowhere near as convenient as other fitness bands.
  • No display for on
  • Demand stats
  • Doesn't have a web app
  • Works with just 10 Android phones
  • 2.5mm stereo jack for charging
  • Slightly reduced battery life
  • Can have an impact on phone battery too
  • Not waterproof No display for time or percentage of goal step goal completed Sleep mode doesnt automatically turn on or off
  • Naff clasp on strap
  • Not waterproof
  • No heart rate monitoring
  • Little value for cyclists and swimmers
  • App needs to offer more realtime recommendations
  • Easy-to-lose dongle required for charging
  • Some sizing issues
  • Lack of screen
  • Too many stats require manual input
  • No built-in screen
  • Shorter battery life than the Jawbone UP
  • App is sluggish at times

  • Thin, sleek, comfortable activity tracker. Measures deep sleep and light sleep. Connects with many other apps for sports, health, and calorie-counting. Beautiful app.
  • Requires a smartphone. Sleep mode not automatic. Very basic calorie-counting features. Ends of band don't sit flat. No display. No altimeter. A bit pricey
  • Comfortable, sleek, mid-priced, and with great sleep features, the Jawbone UP24 could be the activity tracker for you, as long as you don't mind mobile-only access to your data, and a few other downsides....

  • Most comfortable fitness tracker I've ever worn, Battery life is great due to the lack of physical display, about a week on one charge, Reminders are completely customizable and more advanced than other trackers, Stopwatch mode is ideal for tracking worko
  • Not many activities to choose from when categorizing your workout, Food tracking logs aren't great but third party integration makes it not so much of an issue
  • I've been using the UP24 by Jawbone on a daily basis for over a month now. It's been my favorite fitness tracker of all the ones I've used for one main reason — comfort. I don't want to know I'm wearing a fitness tracker. Since I have to wear it all the t...

  • Abstract:  The Jawbone UP was the best fitness tracker I had ever used. From design, to accuracy, to the accompanying software, everything about the UP was fantastic… except for the quality control standards employed by Jawbone and its manufacturing partner. After g...

  • Abstract:  Now, companies are fighting to win over people like me — the 90 percent. The way to do that is to make an experience that is simple and understandable (no, those things are not synonymous) while making the same data more and more relevant. The Jawbone Up2...

  • Syncs via Bluetoot, Sleep trackin, Excellent app with intuitive diet trackin, Accurate
  • Price, Cap easily los, Only works with iO, Lacks display
  • By adding Bluetooth syncing to the Up24, Jawbone fixed one of the biggest issues we had with the original Up when we reviewed it a year ago. However, since then, many more fitness bands have appeared on the market, boasting more features and lower pr...

  • Bluetooth syncing, Simple design, Integration with home automation apps, App can now estimate how long you slept
  • Sleep tracking still hit or miss, Battery life took a hit
  • The Up24 is Jawbone's best wearable to date thanks to wireless syncing. It's definitely worth buying over the older, less expensive Up band....

  • Wireless sync functionality is a welcome addition to the Jawbone UP and while it is much more evolutionary than revolutionary it is a necessary step. I hope to see Android support come sooner rather than later, but that is up to Android manufacturers and ...

  • Fantastic audio quality, Fun color schemes, Loud, Great bluetooth range, NFC, Very long battery, App with settings/features, NFC, Micro-USB rechargeable, Durable, Built-in microphone for speakerphone calls
  • Rubber gets dirty, No track controls, Update 5/7/2014: Logitech has listened to feedback from their users and has added a great new feature. From now on, once you sync two UE BOOMs together for the first time, they will remember each other and automatical

  • If there's any one category of app-enabled accessories that's seen the most widespread acceptance among iPhone users, it would be fitness tracking devices. Thanks at least in part to its placement in Apple Stores, Jawbone's UP was one of the first commerc...
