But can it still cut it? Yes
Is the short answer. The best way to set up a Sonos multi-room system is to use your PC or Mac as a music server

Perhaps not the revolutionary new product some people were hoping for
Abstract: My home began as a tiny two-room house on a hilltop in the middle of nowhere back in the late 1800s. A century later, I’m sitting in a cubbyhole office in the original upstairs section. Old and new sections butt up against one another. Some of the...
Sonos has been making multi-room music servers since 2004. In the four short years since the introduction of its first player this 180-person company has become the market leader in moderately priced wireless multi-room music systems. How did it bec...
Abstract: The Sonos Multi-Room Music System takes a stab at Apple’s AirTunes system. In the process, Sonos has streamlined how you'll want to listen to music from here on out; the company has created a simple system that streams songs from your PC, Mac or NAS (o...

Abstract: We’ve reviewed a lot of home audio solutions, and they all offer different benefits and drawbacks. The big trend is “music everywhere”, whether through powerline networking or wirelessly. Most of these products require a specific music source to feed i...
Sounds great. Simple setup and interface. Mac software can also control music. Plays from local and Internet sources. Modular design lets you add more hardware later. Clear, 3.5-inch color screen.
Lacks touchscreen. Having to pay extra for a charging cradle doesn’t feel right. Doesn’t play protectedAAC iTunes Store files. Expensive.
The Sonos Bundle 150 feels dated without a touchscreen or sleeker remote. The simple interface and setup could save you time, but is that enough justify the price?...
Resuscitates the radio star with more than 800 channels - including Sirius, Pandora and internet radio. Setup makes gumchewing seem bafflingly complex.
Might be cheaper to hire a cover band to rock your living room. Kind of a music snob: Sonos doesnt cotton to iTunes DRM and refuses to play it.
Abstract: Video Review: The Sonos Audio system does have some competition in the home audio space, but most dont compare. With wireless access, a great controller, the ability to expand makes it the system to beat.
