Calling it wafer thin would be an insult
Not a compliment. Screen is gorgeous
This is simply the best-looking iPod
Indeed the best-looking MP3 player we've ever laid eyes on. The Touch 4G is even thinner than its predecessors – any bulges have been eradicated to leave a sheer
Smooth device. The new Retina Display that it shares with the iPhone 4 is just as stunning with its crisp

The editors didn't like
Bottom mounted headphone socket annoying
The camera comes without a flash
TN screen
Not IPS like on the iPhone 4
Low resolution on the screen
Headphones need replacing
Facetime is a mess
No GPS
Camera quality not great
Scratches easily
No Siri voice-control
It’s still no iPhone
Still need to use iTunes
Can't play common file formats
Specs looking out of date
Back attracts fingerprints & scratches
It's not an iPhone
Rubbish camera
No FM radio or GPS
Reliance on iTunes
The camera is not the same as the iPhone 4's
The camera on the new iPod touch is still a touch disappointing. Stills top out at a maximum of 960×720
So you won't be replacing your cam with these just yet. And the fixed focus doesn’t help matters. The maximum capacity is a mere 64GB
So this is not for audiophiles. And the lack of FLAC support may put them off too. But then
This isn't a device designed for the audiophile market.
No FM radio
Still camera poor compared to iPhone 4
No GPS hardware.
Top end model is a lot of money
No Flash video support
FaceTime
Though excellent
Is of limited use
Lo-res stills capture. Not much AirPlay-compatible kit available at launch. Viewing angle not as good as iPhone 4. Bundled buds are bin bound
Rather expensive entrylevel model
Lightning connector compatibility issues
Price
Camera offering a little lacklustre
New design isn't as comfortable as the last version
AirPlay: Coolest. Feature. Ever, Retina display brings stellar quality to all applications, FaceTime video calling to iPhone 4 and other iPod touch 4G's, over Wi-Fi. for free
The still camera is a terrific addition, but not at only 960-by-720 quality, How small is too small when it comes to edge-mounted buttons
My grousing about the buttons and the still camera resolution is somewhat ludicrous in the face of all the advancements obvious in the fourth-generation iPod touch. Apple has managed to make their best portable media player even better, with features ...
There isnt really a whole lot to say about the 2010 iPod Touch, that hasnt already been said. It’s a media player, that does more than just play media at this point. Some might even think of it as a great alternative to a Tablet or Netbook, since it h...
I have used my fourth-generation iPod touch extremely heavily over the last month, and it's easy to conclude that it represents a significant upgrade from my first-gen model. The new display is stunning, and even though there are some issues with the ...
Incredibly thin, sleek design, High-resolution Retina display, Solid Apple build quality, iOS versatility and ease-of-use, Long battery life for multimedia, 720p HD video capture and videoconferencing
The returning touch-screen champ, Apple’s 4th-generation iPod Touch retains its title with a Retina display, HD video recording, a faster processor, and a competitive price. ...
The iPod Touch is offered for as low as USD 229 or as high as USD 399 depending on the amount of inbuilt storage. In my opinion, the price is good. It's a direct hit. As far as the competition is concerned, we are talking about the previous generation...
Abstract: When it comes to music players, iPod is probably the first thing that strikes in to your mind which proves that this gadget is the world’s most famous music player. There are other manufacturers making music players but they haven’t come anywhere close...
Small & lightweight, Extremely responsive, Razor sharp screen, Intuitive interface, Dual cameras including front facing camera, Great gaming, Excellent battery life, Good WiFi performance thanks to 802.11n, Wifi + mic + Skype app = "poor mans" iPhone without a contract!
Glossy screen reflects lots of ambient light, Not the same IPS panel as the new iPhone, Screen AND body is a FINGERPRINT magnet, Requires iTunes to load media on to it, Low resolution cameras, Storage is not upgradeable, Not compatible with 3rd gen cases, 802.11n is only 2.4Ghz, not 5Ghz support, Battery is not easily end user replaceable, Short warranty, Increased price over past model...
The new iPod touch is a worthy successor to the third generation model. It is faster, lighter, more responsive and all round better than its predecessor! Highly recommended if you are a simple, intuitive touch based device, even if it comes with garbag...
