Calling it wafer thin would be an insult
Not a compliment. Screen is gorgeous
This is simply the best-looking iPod
Indeed the best-looking MP3 player we've ever laid eyes on. The Touch 4G is even thinner than its predecessors – any bulges have been eradicated to leave a sheer
Smooth device. The new Retina Display that it shares with the iPhone 4 is just as stunning with its crisp

The editors didn't like
Bottom mounted headphone socket annoying
The camera comes without a flash
TN screen
Not IPS like on the iPhone 4
Low resolution on the screen
Headphones need replacing
Facetime is a mess
No GPS
Camera quality not great
Scratches easily
No Siri voice-control
It’s still no iPhone
Still need to use iTunes
Can't play common file formats
Specs looking out of date
Back attracts fingerprints & scratches
It's not an iPhone
Rubbish camera
No FM radio or GPS
Reliance on iTunes
The camera is not the same as the iPhone 4's
The camera on the new iPod touch is still a touch disappointing. Stills top out at a maximum of 960×720
So you won't be replacing your cam with these just yet. And the fixed focus doesn’t help matters. The maximum capacity is a mere 64GB
So this is not for audiophiles. And the lack of FLAC support may put them off too. But then
This isn't a device designed for the audiophile market.
No FM radio
Still camera poor compared to iPhone 4
No GPS hardware.
Top end model is a lot of money
No Flash video support
FaceTime
Though excellent
Is of limited use
Lo-res stills capture. Not much AirPlay-compatible kit available at launch. Viewing angle not as good as iPhone 4. Bundled buds are bin bound
Rather expensive entrylevel model
Lightning connector compatibility issues
Price
Camera offering a little lacklustre
New design isn't as comfortable as the last version

Feels impossibly thin—we literally lost the Touch in our own pockets. Looks so sharp you could nearly shave with it. Runner? You're in luck. Touch supports Nike plus. 802.11b/g/n WiFi support. The display is beautiful, brilliant and mesmerizing. All glory
Metallic finish collects more fingerprints than the NSA. Higherend models are fairly costly. No flash on the browser or the camera. Video recording and stillimage capture could be a touch (ha!) better

New screen and cameras fall noticeably short of iPhone 4 performance levels. Weak still camera performance is a particular issue on all models; lowest-end model has jumped $30 in price while remaining stuck at an increasingly objectionable 8GB/6.5GB o
