  • While we like its audio quality, the limited range of extra features provided by the JBL On Stage IIIP leaves it looking a bit expensive when compared to some of its rivals. Particularly when you factor in the cost of replacement batteries. Shop aroun...

  • Doesn't offer much bass; no pass-through syncing option; volume controls are testy

  • Incomparably clear, rich audio. Small enough to fit in your laptop bag beside your notebook, and it takes up very little desk real estate.
  • Requires six AAA batteries and wont juice up rechargeables. No storage slot for the Wrigleysgumsize remote means youll probably lose it on day one.

  • Small and portable, Runs on batteries or AC adapter, Clear highs and mids
  • Small drivers can’t handle low bass, Remote buttons are hard to see, No USB connector or video output
  • At $169, this is a fairly expensive iPod speaker, but the JBL OnStage IIIp is small enough to be your primary audio system in a den or office, and it’s easily portable. We wouldn’t recommend using it outside (the bass almost disappears), but i...

  • No rechargeable batteries. Carrying case not included. No video out.
  • The reasonably priced On Stage IIIP works with both iPhone and iPods, providing a full sound considering its relatively compact frame, but it has some shortcomings....
