Apple may have rectified the recessing 3.5mm headphone socket with a standard jack
So you can plug in some decent cans
But they ignored our pleas for a better camera. Why change the rest then stick with the two-megapixel camera
Eh Apple?
Can’t render Flash content
No video recording or MMS
Poor battery life
Battery life typically smartphone-poor GPS functionality not quite there yet Texting still needs work Camera remains poor
Battery life worse than predecessor
Camera still lags way behind rivals
Plastic case feels less solid
Downloading time
Poor battery life with 3G switched on
Doesnt play Flash
Camera could be better/ no video
No copy paste possibility
Bluetooth flexibility
Still limited to O2
Some will be disappointed that the camera hasn't been improved
Will undoubtedly lose some chicappeal as it becomes inevitably ubiquitous
The iPhone 3G corrected most of the most glaring flaws in Apple’s first-gen handset, including the slow data speeds and dodgy headphone jack. It’s an excellent device and the App Store makes it one of our favourite phones ever. Despite a few annoying o...
Abstract: So, here it is. Ive forgone all *real* work to devote my day to plunging the inner depths of the 3G iPhone. Here it is - Ive found you a mind blowing app, twittered with a location and generally spent the day geeking out. Enjoy.
The iPhone 3G is an excellent smartphone and packs a great array of business-compatible features. However, aside from 3G and GPS, users of the existing iPhone should not expect to find anything other than that can’t be found on a 2G handset with the...
2megapixel camera, Lack of flash, Inability to edit Microsoft Office documents, No MMS
Apple has taken the iPhone to the next level and added some excellent features, including 3G/HSDPA, GPS and support for Microsoft Exchange email. You still cant send MMS and theres only a 2-megapixel camera, but overall its a wonderful experience...
No improvement on the camera, O2s 3G coverage not great, no search in email, no "read all", no cut and paste, GPS fiddly to use
If youve got an old iPhone and arent fussed about 3G or GPS, the iPhone 2.0 software update will mean the "buzz" phone of the moment is all but virtually in your pocket already...

Responsive screen; 3G; flush headphone jack; audio quality during calls
2-megapixel camera; lack of flash; inability to edit Microsoft Office documents; no MMS
Apple has taken the iPhone to the next level and added some truly mouth-watering features. 3G is lightning fast compared to EDGE, and GPS means you'll never get lost again. You still can't send MMS and there's only a 2-megapixel camera, which may anno...
Abstract: Those who waited for the 3G second edition of the iPhone will appreciate dramatically faster cellular data access and an impressive software update including a raft of third-party programs. When the original Apple iPhone arrived in June 2007, it wa...

The impaired battery life is a downer - but no worse than other 3G smartphones. Otherwise the bar that Appla has set has just been raised another few notches. A truly amazing product....
