The editors didn't like
More like an S version of the iPhone 6S than a total overhaul
Still no wireless charging
No dual cameras feature here
No true battery improvement
No headphone jack will irk some
Same-old design
Questionable innovation
No fast-charging
No headphone jack
Screen has improved but lags behind competitors in specs
May not change your mind if you're not already a fan
No 3.5mm headphone socket
No quick-charging capability
Design's a bit old
Iterative design
Innovative camera on 7 Plus
Large bezels
We like the Plus a lot more
Sameold design
No fastcharging
Jet black option feels tacky
No headphone port
No real advancements or innovations
Eye-watering price
Uninspiring camera
Third year of Apple using the same basic design
Few major changes compared to iPhone 6s
Jet Black colour option appears scratchprone
Battery is still too small
Some software bugs
No 3.5mm headphone jack
No 64Gb memory option
Similar to iPhone 6s
Very expensive
Design is looking slightly dated now
Awkward for wired headphone owners
Not a massive improvement over the iPhone 6S
Need an adapter to use wired headphones
Form factor seems very jaded
No headphone jack (but there's a dongle and compatible wired headphones in the box). Click-free home button takes getting used to. Only the larger 7 Plus has the cool dual camera. Shiny jet-black version scratches easily
No headphone jack is inconvenient
Bundled EarPods are average
Battery life still needs work
Poor battery life
Looks the same
Where's the headphone jack?
Expensive
Lacks 2x optical zoom like the 7 Plus
Jet black version prone to scratches
Remarkably similar to previous models
Lack of headphone jack is inconvenient
Not huge changes compared to iPhone 6s
Price hike in the UK
Glossy Jet Black colour option appears scratchprone
Abstract: The iPhone 7 isn't quite the new black, but it does establish a new high watermark for "basic." Like a great pair of jeans, the iPhone 7 is straightforward, versatile and attractive. If it fits you well, it's worth it, even if some specs fall short of sup...
Abstract: Stop me if you've heard this one but: the new iPhone is a lot like the old iPhone. In looks, in functionality, in its very essence the iPhone 7 is a device of old ideas, repackaged. The water resistance; the little conveniences like Raise-To-Wake; even th...

Dropdead gorgeous colors including two new blacks. Fast A10 Fusion CPU with four cores and energy management controller. Much improved camera. Wider color gamut. Better speakers (finally). Water and dust resistant. Better battery life than 6s.
The removal of the 3.5 mm headphone jack has upset many. But Apple supplies an adapter in the box and sells extras for $9

The iPhone 7 is a very good phone, but it's not a perfect phone and it's certainly not the best phone for many people.Things I like about the iPhone 7: it's well-made and has a nice screen; call quality is much better; it's really, really fast; battery li...
Abstract: Apple improved almost everything about the iPhone 7, from the processor to the camera. Then they took away the headphone jack. Do the iPhone 7's drawbacks ruin the experience?...
A10 Fusion chip is crazy fast, approaching laptop speeds, Great camera performance
No headphone port, so you can't charge and listen to wired headphones at the same time
The things that are great about the iPhone 7—primarily its speed and the camera—are likely to be even better in the next generation. On the other hand, the things that aggravate me about this iPhone—namely, the weird Home button and the aggravation of...

Water resistant, Strong all-round camera, Decent battery life, Solid performance
No expandable storage, No headphone jack
If you already own last year's iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, there's little reason to step up to the seven. Sure there's a fair few improvements, such as the water resistant design and new better-in-low-light camera, but nothing that'll blow your mind.Once you ge...

Fantastic camer, especially dual-lens Plu, Fastest performance yet in a phon, Much improved battery lif, Water resistanc, Stereo speakers provide better sound
Still too much beze, Missing headphone jack will annoy some
Based on early reports, shoppers should expect a much bigger overhaul with the 2017 iPhone. It could sport a curved OLED screen, and perhaps ditch the Home button altogether. I'd also expect cutting-edge augmented-reality features. But I don't want to wai...

Abstract: The worst thing about listening to the iPhone announcement was the cold, terrifying realization that I might have to buy an iPhone 7 Plus. If you believed the team of Jobs disciples on stage, there's no way you could pass up the iPhone 7 Plus's dual camer...
