The design of the phone isn't ‘iconic' – it's dated. There's no reason Apple couldn't have created a smaller version of the iPhone 6S other than saving money – while that cost has been passed onto the consumer
It would have been amazing to see a new phon
Older giant-bezel design and limited screen size are love-it-or-hate-it. Hardware hasn't changed since its 2016 debut

Small size won't be for all - can feel crammed on screen
Apple's original winning size returns to centre stage; Great spec upgrade, making the iPhone SE faster than the still available iPhone 6; All-day battery life; Great camera; Includes a fingerprint reader; Supports the same accessories as the iPhone 5 and
Small screen (in comparison to what else is out there today); Front-facing camera is old and low resolution (again, in comparison to what else is out there today); No force-touch/3D touch screen;
I was dreading doing this review. It's not something I like to admit, but sometimes, there are gadgets that occasionally bring a small amount of discomfort.It's like knowing you're going to have to do something not overly comfortable, like visiting a dent...
Conventional wisdom says that a smaller phone comes with compromises, but the early reviews say you aren't making serious sacrifices with the iPhone SE. As iMore's Rene Ritchie wrote, you get “the best experience possible in as small an inexpensive an...
This thing is fantastic. Apple have dropped their best stuff into what would be described by many as their best design. And if you are ok with, or love, the smaller screen size of the iPhone 5's – rush down and get one of these – they go on sale Thursda...
The iPhone SE might be small but it packs a mighty punch. The device is aimed at the bulk of customers who are sitting at the mid-tier, who can't afford the flagship devices, who prefer a smaller screen and a compact device. The iPhone SE ticks all of th...

A lot of people loved that the iPhone 6 got a bigger screen. But the fact remains that bigger, large-screened phablets are not everyone's cup of tea. By launching the SE, Apple has given customers the ability to decide what works best for them. Those with...
Abstract: I'm one of PCMag's phone experts, and also a parent, so I've thought a lot about kids and phones. Mobile phones are useful, powerful, and helpful. They're also expensive, distracting, and a potential gateway to a lot of nasty things on the internet. So sh...
Abstract: You may have heard that "the iPhone" is the most popular smartphone in the US. But that's not quite accurate, because there are a lot of different iPhone models being sold right now. At the time of this writing, Apple itself is offering eight different iP...
Abstract: Apple started 2007 with a single product that made a big splash. But over the past 15 years, there have been far more than 15 iPhones, as the company rolled out big ones, little ones, cheap ones, and costly ones. The plan was one iPhone a year until 2013...
