As we said in our hands on preview
The Windows Phone 8X design is certainly striking. Think of the Nokia Lumi 800’s “pillow” shape with straighter lines and you’re not far off. Unfortunately

It lacks the fantastic burst mode of HTC’s Android phones

Windows Phone 8X Display and UI The 720p 4.3 inch display of the HTC Windows Phone 8X is very good. Colours are vibrant, whites are pure and blacks, while not as inky as on the iPhone 5 or the ClearBlack display of the Lumia 920 (there it is again), st...

When we reviewed earlier Windows Phone handsets, we were told the platform needed time to bed in. It's had that and it's evolved but we can't help feeling there are still a few areas it really is left lacking. Things like the poor media support are inexc...
OK, let's consider the Windows Phone 8X compared with its Windows competition — and then we'll look at the wider market. Personally, I haven't reviewed Nokia's Lumia 920 and 820 devices yet, but I have played with them during their Australian launch fes...
Beautiful LCD screen. Smooth user experience. Good battery life
No expandable memory. Camera not on par with other HTCs. HTC apps are a bland assortment
HTC's Windows Phone 8X needed that "one more thing" to justify its place among the premium phones, but fails to deliver. It's a good phone, just not a great one....

If you want an amazing Windows Phone 8 handset that Nokia doesn't make, the 8X is the handset for you. It's sexy, slim, feature-packed and specced to the nines with a price that's nice to match...
Lovely balanced feel; 4G connection; Beats Audio "headphone amp" helps to provide tons of sound for wired earphones;
No microSD; 16GB storage with only 12GB free isn't really much these days; A deafening camera and audio bug: don't take pictures with headphones in; Not enough apps in the ecosystem;
If you're after a great Windows Phone 8 experience but haven't been at all intrigued by the big bulky 920 put forth thus far by Nokia, HTC's 8X could be the solution you're looking for.We're still not sure about that camera bug that seems to leave us deaf...
Fresh and attractive design, Excellent screen, Slick and fast performance
Limited internal memory & no card slot, Poor ergonomics due to long shape, Limited Windows Phone app ecosystem
The Windows Phone 8X by HTC is one of the most attractive smartphones we've reviewed this year. It offers excellent performance thanks to the slick Windows Phone OS and has a great display. However, the 8X is let down by a lack of expandable memory, some...

Abstract: Nokia's not the only smartphone manufacturer getting a bite at the Windows Phone 8 pie. No, sir. HTC also wants in on the action, and it's going to get it with the HTC 8X — a curvy new addition to HTC's Windows Phone fraternity.AU Editor's Note: this is a...
We haven't tested either handset yet, but on paper, Nokia's Lumia 920 is looking like a better buy for Windows Phone enthusiasts who want to get on board with the new version than HTC's Windows Phone 8X. Nokia's handset supports 4G speeds in Australia, w...
