  • That’s right
  • I said Windows Mobile. Behind HTC’s swanky
  • Supermodel-smug TouchFLO 3D interface lurks a gang of pizza-eating geeks forcing you through thousands of miniscule menu options and then stealing all your memory. Put it this way &ndas...
  • Touch performance still erratic. 5MP camera not the sharpest. Video capture resolution too juddery

  • Abstract:  While we're no market segment experts, it certainly seems to us that the Touch HD would have had a sportin' chance here in the US. Maybe HTC blinked when they thought about average consumers comparing it too directly to the iPhone, given that at the end of the day it's still jarring to switch between TouchFlo 3D and the standard WM interface. Maybe AT&T put the kaibosh on it...

  • The HTC Touch HD boasts a spacious and sharp 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen, and offers integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The Windows Mobile smartphone also includes the Opera Web browser, YouTube app, and a 5-megapixel camera.
  • The Touch HD doesnt support U.S. 3G bands. The smartphone can be sluggish at times, and the video performance is disappointing. Its also expensive.
  • The HTC Touch HD dazzles with its large, high-resolution touch screen, but the smartphones feature set and performance is average at best. You can get much more for your money.
