The editors didn't like

  • Just 2GB of RAM
  • MicroUSB cables are useless
  • Plastic build
  • Then there are the things that haven't changed but should have. With 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage for the entry-level price
  • You're likely to max out both forms of memory more than a few times over the next year or two
  • The 2GB of memory affect
  • Battery life can be a little weak
  • And the Nexus 5X looks and feels cheap compared to similarly priced phones. The front-facing speaker sounds terrible
  • Only 2GB of RAM
  • No SD card slot

  • Specs trail other Androids
  • Your microUSB cables are useless
  • Rivals offer more accurate video and audio performance
  • Camera needs to improve
  • No expandable memory or storage
  • Plastic body
  • Non Quad-HD display
  • Crappy speakers
  • Poor battery life
  • No wireless charging
  • Slow & bare-bones stock camera app

  • Interface becomes laggy after several weeks use
  • No microSD
  • Middling battery

  • Abstract:  While there is no shortage of premium flagship smartphones out there, this year has also seen a larger focus on affordability without a compromise in quality. Two smartphones that fall in this ever-growing category are the Nexus 5X and the OnePlus X .In t...

  • So there you have it for this second opinion look at the Nexus 5X! I really wanted to love this phone, and in a lot of ways I really do. However, there were a few issues, mainly to do with performance, that proved to be a let down. On way more than a few...

  • Finally a Nexus device with a good camera. Stock Android comes with tons of advantages. Excellent display. Fast, accurate fingerprint reader. Good value.
  • Bland design is outdone by the competition. Performance, especially NAND performance, is below par. Below average battery life.

  • Great performance, Good camera, USB-C port, Excellent fingerprint sensor, Reasonable price
  • No OIS, Weak battery life, Front speaker is lacking quality, No wireless charging, No microSD slot
  • We saw that the new Nexus 5X has a great camera, the new Android Marshmallow runs smoothly and is seamlessly integrated, it can run resource-heavy games and the display is great. The design is not exactly premium and the battery life is not the best, but...

  • The Nexus 5X certainly isn't a perfect device. It's not meant to be a flagship phone and it's not priced like one; at $379 it's not the most expensive phone out there, but it's not exactly the cheapest one either. Still, I find myself really liking it des...

  • Abstract:  A new Nexus phone used to be something to get excited about for Android devotees; it represented what Google thought could be an ideal mobile experience for others to build off of. The Nexus 5X doesn't quite engender that same mystique, but after spending...

  • Abstract:  I have a confession to make. I love the Nexus 5. Despite its obvious flaws compared to newer and shiner phones (all of which Ive tried and tested), the Nexus 5 has some intangible quality for me that no other phone has replicated before or since.Advertis...

  • Smaller 5.2-inch screen that's easy to use with one hand, Nexus Imprint (Fingerprint Scanner), Great Camera, Low Price Tag
  • Display could be better, Average battery life (at best), Feels somewhat cheap, Laggy performance
  • Despite the issues with the screen being average, performance not always being 100% perfect and the lack of wireless charging, the 5X is still the second best Nexus smartphone ever released by Google. Just behind the Nexus 6P. It's a great all around phon...
