By now
You’re surely familiar with Nokia’s Lumia range and the clean design language that comes with the name
And that continues with the 1520. It’s the same curved design that we’ve grown to know and love since the Lumia 800 first made its debut in 2011
Only it’s been given the super-sized treatment and simply towers over the rest of the range. The 1080p HD display measures up at a potentiall

The editors didn't like
Messy homescreen
Late to launch in some countries
Needs two hands to operate
The large screen often feels wasted
Bigger battery takes very long time to charge
Stylus could have made a nice addition
Buttons are a bit tricky to press
You'll need a whole new wardrobe of clothes with pockets big enough
Lack of optimisation
Heavy
Slow camera
Windows Phone still lacks apps
File compatibility
Music repro could be stronger
Lack of creativity
Bulky square body
Windows Phone rather limited
Windows Phone 8 layout can be overwhelming
App selection still behind iOS and Android
It's too big to use with one hand and too heavy as well. The camera's automatic and video modes need work too
The Nokia Lumia is big
But it’s not unwieldy. You’ll look a bit daft holding it to your head to make calls
But if you Snapchat and WhatsApp more than you ring
It’s not a problem. What is however
Is that Nokia and Microsoft have done little to convince us there’s a need for a screen this size. Samsung’s Galaxy Note phones offer a brilliantly thought out stylus as well as the ability to run two
Apps. Or rather
The lack of them
No special treats to make the most of the big screen
Camera can be slow to shoot
Enormous size won't be to everyone's taste
Windows Phone app store is still very poorly stocked
Lacking creativity
Bulky rectangular build
Windows Phone still limited
Too big
App store pricey with older content compared to rivals
No notifications centre
No quick settings
Switching connections on and off is a pain
Might be too big for some
Could be missing a few apps you want
Underwhelming video recording Hollow sounding speaker
Interface needs more functions that fully exploit the large display

Nokia's best effort has produced the best Windows Phone yet. Quality camera delivers fantastic shots in most conditions. Snapdragon 800 is powerful and uptodate, complemented by a beautiful, large 1080p display.
Huge handset isn't for everyone. Windows Phone generally isn't optimized for the large display. No stylus support.
Nokia is edging closer to creating the perfect Windows Phone with the Lumia 1520. Finally we have a handset that matches current Android and iOS devices in terms of performance and hardware, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC making the experience snapp...
Abstract: Windows 8's Live Tile interface suits a smart phone or tablet well, with its ability to add various types of content to the start page, such as contacts, photo albums, music playlists, Web sites, OneNote items and driving directions. With a 2.2GHz quad co...
Abstract: The Lumia 1520 is exclusive to AT&T in the US, and it's available in red (our model), black, yellow and white. All have a matte finish except the red that's glossy. We love the red's look, but it is both large and slippery. The black looks very classy and...
The Lumia 1520 is the most advanced Windows Phone device to date and boasts specs that are comparable to the best Android phones. That's not to say that Windows Phone lagged behind Android in the past from an experience point of view as even though there...
Abstract: On one side of the ring, we have the LG G Flex, a marvel of a device that showcases some new and innovative design qualities we haven’t seen commercialized on a large scale. Meanwhile there’s the Nokia Lumia 1520, the biggest and most high spec’d Windo...
Abstract: It has been a few weeks since the colossal Lumia 1520 from Nokia was released here in the U.S. on AT&T. Since then, I have repeatedly been asked one question from people on Twitter and elsewhere: “Do you use it as your daily driver?” (inevitably followed ...

Best hardware you can find on Windows Phone, Outstanding battery life, Excellent display, Solid audio performance
Cumbersome hardware, Software doesn't take full advantage of large screen size, Windows Phone is coming due for a refresh,
At the end of the day, the Lumia 1520 is a monster – but it's a friendly, lovable one. It doesn't do all it can to leverage its massive screen, and many folks are bound to find it just too big for their pockets. For all the bluster their size and speci...
Abstract: Boy it must be great being an AT&T customerif you’re the kind of person that takes fancy in Windows Phones, seeing that the carrier lays claim to two of the best ones out right now. Earlier in the fall, we were mesmerized by the carrier’s introduction ...
Big full HD IPS display, top notch specs, usual Lumia elegant and unique design
This is a huge phone! Windows app store selection is getting better but still doesn't match Android and IOS selection
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a very likeable tablet-phone with an excellent display, a stylish design, great call quality and good speed. It has the latest generation hardware inside, making it the first Windows Phone that isn't a step behind flagship Andr...
Abstract: Cheap is the new expensive. Crazy to believe it, but it’s true as we uncover some of the recent devices to enter the market. For the longest of time now, high-end smartphones tend to fall within that golden price point of $200 with a 2-year contract. I...
