There’s only so much that can be done with touchscreen phone design these days
But it looks like Sony has nailed it. The Sony Xperia S is a striking phone made distinctive by its clean angular lines and illuminating bar running below the display
Which also houses the antenna. It’s a real looker. The display too is very good
Delivering some neat viewing angles
Lots of detail and some wonderfu

Honestly speaking
There is not a lot wrong with the Xperia S so I've had to really think hard to find some defects
Poor battery life
Large form factor awkward for typing
The Xperia S has quirky capacitive buttons
Slow 3G data
An uninspiring screen
And a pokey processor. Its $559.99 price is also steep
Slight rattle in the build
Vital daily recharges
No Ice Cream Sandwich out the box
No microSD card slot
Battery not accessible
No Mac support for file transfer
Doesn't seem to make huge steps forward
The absence of memory expansion is a letdown
And we don’t like the inaccessible battery either.
Touchsensitive buttons not very practical
Limited angles of view
Nonexpandable memory (32 GB)
Photo quality behind the competition
You can find better with 8 Mpx
Camera sensor poorly located
Low battery life
Unfortunately with its good design
There are flaws. The Sony Xperia S severely lacks in grip. Its plastic body can easily slip out of the hands in a hurry
However the hand eventually gets used to the awkward grip. And it has to be said that the Sony Xperia S is hardly compact. Some buttons even require a little stretching to operate in one-handed use. Camera quality too
For what it offers coul

Sony Xperia S is a flagship product for Sony. It is a decent device to buy with amazing display and ease of use. The 1.5GHz dual-core processor is quite zippy and as a result of which one will not encounter any lag in the phone's usage. The 12 megapixel ca...
If you want a 12.0-megapixel camera phone then you can opt for the Nokia N8 that costs Rs 19,000. An Android option could be the Motorola Atrix 2 running on Android 2.3.6 and costing Rs 22,000. It comes with a 8.0- megapixel camera.5763...

Having high expectations from Sony's first dual-core handset, it doesn't pack all that punch. I am not saying it is a useless smartphone, it has great potential, and one of the most amazing cameras I've seen on a smartphone, but somehow it doesn't deliver...
Premium build, Fits well in the hand, Excellent display, Lots of internal storage Camera that works well for the most part
Camera behaves badly during night shots, Timescape UI feels boxy, Needs Android ICS update quickly
Sony really needs to push the ICS updates out of the door, very quickly. The Xperia S seems to have everything in place - good hardware, excellent build quality and design and a very good display. However, Sony needs to get the UI sorted. When compared st...
No ICS update yet, Lacklustre battery performance, Limited viewing angles
Like every other dual-core Android device, the Xperia S has a terrible battery life. Its 1750 mAh pack manages to keep the device up for only about 5 hours, and it gets even worse with gaming. The handset has a great design, impressive sound quality, a 1...
At Rs 32,549 I cannot recommend the Sony Xperia S. The device does many things well, but frankly there is not even a single feature it can claim to be the best. For me its not enough of an upgrade over say a device like the Samsung Galaxy S II. Apart from...
