I love the new design. It's a great improvement on the clear glass back and sharp edges of the Xperia Z2. The Z5 is lighter
It's thinner
And the frosted glass back is nothing short of gorgeous. I think it's up in the realms of the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6

Can get hot
Software slow
Battery life isn't as good as it was in older devices
No major updates over the Xperia Z3+
It still gets too hot – the Xperia Z3+ was unbearable and though this is much better it's still not good enough. Playing a game for an hour shouldn't make the phone unholdable
And Sony needs to rethink the processor for the Xperia Z6
I really would have
Only minor updates from its predecessor means it lacks the excitement of its rivals. Its waterproofing no longer allows for full submersion
Meaning it can't be used for underwater photography

Nice design, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, smooth interface, memory card slot, 23megapixel camera
Overheats, camera could have been better
The improved design and physical camera button are among the things that we really like about the Z5 Dual. And Sony's decision to have the home button on the side is just brilliant because unlocking the device has not been this easy before. The 23-megapixe...

Abstract: While it's only been barely 10 weeks since Sony's Xperia Z3+ (aka Xperia Z4) was officially launched in Malaysia, Sony is now rolling out a new flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z5. The new Z5 looks like it could be the biggest upgrade from Sony since the Z...
Neat fingerprint scanner, Punchy screen, Attractive colours and glass back
Battery life worse than previous Zs, Gets warm an awful lot, Feels late to the party, A harsher in-hand feel than rivals
Do a higher-megapixel camera and fingerprint scanner revitalise the Sony Xperia Z series, and see it rise up to the top of the Android broth? Not quite. This is a very good phone, but it's launching at a significantly higher price than any of its direct r...
Abstract: Sony updates its flagship smartphones rather frequently. The most recent additions to the range, the Xperia Z5 phones were available just barely four months after the Xperia Z3+'s local launch (the Z3+ is also known as the Xperia Z4 in Japan). On paper, t...

Gorgeous and elegant design, Impressive camera quality, Great performance, Waterproof feature, Great display quality, New fingerprint sensor
Gets warm quite fast, No wireless charging, Quite expensive
The last time we considered an Xperia handset as the best smartphone of the year was back in the very first Xperia Z. This time around, the Xperia Z5 has all the makings of a strong flagship handset plus a few bells and whistles. It's elegant, gorgeous an...
