Doesnt require previous authoring experience. Good quality MPEG encoder. Produces simple one-menu discs quickly. Frame-accurate machine control of pro-level VCRs. DV output allows capture from DVD.
Pricey if you only need basic archiving capability. Menu creation not fully customizable in version 1. DVD player cant be precisely controlled from an NLE. Can only encode from videotape, not from files.
