  • Consistent image quality; Built-in Wi-Fi; Easy to use
  • Some noise at middling sensitivities; Wind noise on movies
  • With built-in Wi-Fi and reliably high image quality, there's much to like about the latest addition to Canon's point-and-shoot IXUS lineup. There was some noise at middling sensitivities, but otherwise the 255 HS performed well in my tests....

  • Abstract:  Succeeding the popular ELPH 320 HS, Canon's new PowerShot ELPH 330 HS touts double the optical zoom range, improved ISO sensitivity to capture better low-light shots, a new Hybrid AUTO mode and upgraded WiFi connectivity and features. Comparison shoppers ...

  • 10x stabilised optical zoom, Built-in Wifi and GPS via a smartphone, Hybrid Auto movie digest mode, Excellent image quality.
  • Lengthy shooting mode menu, Complicated Wifi operation.
  • The IXUS 255 HS / ELPH 330 HS is positioned in the middle in the IXUS / ELPH range and provides a good balance between features and performance on the one hand and price on the other. It outclasses the 16.1 Megapixel CCD sensor-based entry-level IXUS ...

  • Compact, svelte design, Wi-Fi connectivity with smartphones, Speedy performance, Good image quality
  • Wi-Fi can be a nuisance to set up, Video is decent, but not as strong as other Canon cams, Convoluted menu navigation
  • We had a difficult time grading the 330 HS for several reasons. For $230, you're paying for a camera that shoots good quality photos, is stylish, and is simple to use. However, at the end of the day, it's still a point-and-shoot, and at $200-plus it's s...
